Some people may think that when Jesus walked on earth, He loved everybody so much that He got along with all people. Not so! There were some with whom Jesus constantly clashed. Yes, He loved them, but these people not only did not love Jesus; they hated Him with a violent, bitter hatred. These people were known as the Pharisees. Matthew, chapter 23, is our Biblical text for today. If you are where you can get your Bible, let's look at this chapter for the next few minutes.

There are times in our lives when we all get discouraged. You've heard theold expression, "Cheer up; things could be worse." So you cheer up, and yes, things seem to get worse! If God's Word, the Bible, has anything to say to us when we need it, then surely we need to let God help us when we get discouraged. Let's spend these next few minutes together and allow God to give us the help that can come only from Him.

There are times when we hear a sermon, whether it be in person in a church, on radio or TV, on a podcast, or by some other means - - - and we feel that this particular sermon has no application to us personally. Today's sermon, however, is one which should apply to every person who hears it. We are thinking on the subject of burdens. Yes, everyone has a burden of some sort or another. It may be big or small, but we all have burdens to bear. The question today is "What Do You Do with Your Burdens?" Let's look at this together now and see how God can help us, whatever our burden may be.
