  • Menopause Care Beyond Hormones: 3 Takeaways from the 2026 Menopause Society Meeting
    4 Nov 2026

What does the latest research in menopause medicine mean for women navigating midlife?

In this episode of Midlife Revival, Dr. Taniqua Miller (Dr. T), board-certified OB/GYN and Certified Menopause Practitioner, shares three important takeaways from the 2026 Menopause Society Annual Meeting in San Diego.

From the role of lifestyle medicine in managing menopause symptoms to the relationship between hormone therapy and cardiovascular health, Dr. T explores why menopause care requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach.

She also tackles one of the more complicated conversations in menopause medicine: the use of hormone therapy in women with a history of breast cancer.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    • Why lifestyle medicine matters: The six pillars of lifestyle medicine and how sleep, nutrition, movement, stress management, and social connection can support women during menopause.
    • The connection between menopause and heart health: How declining estrogen affects cholesterol, what hormone therapy can and cannot do for cardiovascular health, and when coronary artery calcium scoring may help guide treatment decisions.
    • Hormone therapy after breast cancer: Why this remains a nuanced conversation, what we know about the risks, and why shared decision-making and collaboration with oncology specialists are essential.

Dr. T also shares why community and connection deserve a greater role in menopause care and why staying current with evolving evidence is so important.

The bottom line? Menopause care is not simply about prescribing hormones. It's about understanding the whole woman, evaluating the evidence, and developing an individualized plan that supports her health and quality of life.

  • Testosterone for Women: 5 Questions About Testosterone and Menopause, Answered
    30 Sep 2026

Testosterone for women is everywhere right now. From social media and Facebook groups to conversations between friends, women are hearing that testosterone may be the missing piece for everything from low libido and fatigue to brain fog, muscle loss, and motivation.

But what does the evidence actually tell us?

In this episode of Midlife Revival, Dr. T answers five of the most common questions she hears about testosterone and menopause in her clinical practice.

She breaks down what testosterone actually does in the female body, when testosterone therapy may be helpful, why a “low” testosterone level doesn't automatically mean you need treatment, and what women should know about dosing, monitoring, side effects, and long-term safety.

The five questions Dr. T answers:

    1. What is testosterone, and what role does it play in women's health?
    2. What symptoms does testosterone actually help?
    3. If my testosterone level is low, does that mean I need testosterone?
    4. If I try testosterone, what's the safest way to use it—and what should I expect?
    5. What do we know (and not know) about the long-term use of testosterone in women?

Along the way, Dr. T discusses testosterone for low sexual desire, the difference between physiologic and supraphysiologic dosing, topical testosterone vs. injections and pellets, potential side effects, and why she believes treatment should focus on the woman—not simply a lab value.

The takeaway? Testosterone is a legitimate treatment, but that doesn't mean it's the answer for every midlife symptom or the right choice for every woman.

Instead of asking, “Should I be taking testosterone?” Dr. T encourages women to start with a different question:

“What are we trying to treat—and does testosterone make sense for me?”

If you're in Metro Atlanta and want to have a personalized conversation about hormone therapy, testosterone, or your menopause care, schedule a consultation with Dr. T at Revival Women's Health.
