Diana makes a drink named after a cannon. Does the French 75 have the kind of kick that lives up to its name? After several tries with a little muscle to open a new bottle, Carli adds a little St. Germain to turn the 75 into a 77.
French 75
Ingredients
- 2 oz gin
- .5 oz lemon juice
- .25 oz simple syrup
- 2 oz champagne or dry sparkling wine
- Lemon peel for garnish
Preparation
- Place gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice and shake thoroughly to chill.
- Strain into a glass and add champagne.
- Top with fresh ice and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
French 77
- Add a little St. Germain to your French 75 to turn it into a French 77!
