Keanu Reeves Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Keanu Reeves has had a busy late September, with the clearest long term development being his move deeper into film production. According to Brazilian outlet O Tempo and AdoroCinema, Reeves will star in and produce Kill Current, a spy thriller based on an as yet unpublished novel by Oliver Lowe, the pen name of writer Casey Stegman. Reeves is set to play Jon Hendricks, a former CIA agent who becomes a professor before returning to the field, while producing through Two Dragonflies, the company he founded with Alexandra Grant. The book is expected in 2027, and no director or additional cast has been announced, so the film remains an early stage project rather than a confirmed production schedule. On September 25, Reeves appeared in New York at the Global Citizen Awards, where he presented an award to Formula One president and chief executive Stefano Domenicali, according to Nasha Niva. The same report says Reeves met Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya at a private reception connected with the event. Online references to Reeves as a child of Belarus are a joke from the John Wick mythology, not evidence of a personal connection to the country. Music also put Reeves in the spotlight. Yahoo Entertainment and San Francisco publication SFist reported that he made a surprise appearance at the Warfield on September 21 during Peter Hook and the Light's concert, reportedly introducing the post punk veteran. The appearance came just before Dogstar, Reeves's band with Bret Domrose and Robert Mailhouse, played San Francisco's Fillmore on September 22 as part of its All In Now tour. Those reports describe footage shared online, but there is no indication that Reeves announced a new solo music project. A social media rumor claiming that Reeves had been confirmed to reprise Johnny Silverhand in a Denis Villeneuve directed live action Cyberpunk 2077 adaptation circulated on X on September 22. It remains unverified and should not be treated as industry confirmation. The strongest entertainment headline of the past 24 hours comes from Collider, which reports that Good Fortune, Reeves's recent genre comedy, has become a streaming hit on Prime Video, reaching eighth place on a FlixPatrol ranking. Collider also lists Constantine 2, John Wick 5, and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 among his upcoming projects, though release details may change. Thanks for listening.
