Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason.

Today we’re in Luke 2:12, and this episode is all about the meaning behind Jesus being placed in a manger. The angel told the shepherds, “You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” A manger was not simply a wooden box. It was a feeding place for animals, and that detail gives us a powerful picture of who Jesus came to be.

Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about how Jesus is the Bread of Life. He is the Word made flesh, and just as food strengthens the physical body, God’s Word strengthens our spirit. When we take in His Word, meditate on it, and allow it to become part of us, it gives us the strength, direction, and energy we need for life.

This message is also a reminder that going too long without spiritual food can leave us weak. Just like skipping physical meals affects the body, neglecting God’s Word and church can affect our faith, attitude, and ability to handle the challenges of life. When we are spiritually hungry, we may begin filling ourselves with things that do not truly satisfy.

Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason encourage us to be intentional about what we consume. The world offers plenty of quick spiritual junk food, but Jesus offers something lasting. His Word gives life, hope, wisdom, and strength. We need more than an occasional bite. We need daily bread.

As we celebrate Christmas, remember what the manger represents. Jesus came to feed a hungry world. Keep Christ at the center of your family, your celebrations, and your everyday life. Make room for His Word and allow Him to give you everything your spirit needs.
