The NBA season is almost here, and we’re not easing into it. We’re going straight to the arguments that every fan ends up having anyway: who are the best three NBA players right now, what “face of the league” really means, and which teams are actually built to survive a playoff series when everything tightens up.

I’m joined by TJ, Mr. Askew aka the “vampire coach,” and Mike Worrell for our annual NBA preview roundtable. We hit the East hard, starting with how far the Knicks can realistically go and why big-man play and defensive edge still decide postseason outcomes. Then we get into the Philadelphia 76ers superteam question, including whether Nick Nurse should be on the hot seat if things don’t click and why chemistry and role acceptance matter more than a starting five that looks perfect on paper.

We also dig into the Cleveland Cavaliers, Kenny Atkinson’s pressure to finally translate regular-season success into playoff wins, and what counts as “progress” versus “embarrassment.” From there, we switch gears into the fun stuff: the best NBA fans debate (MSG, OKC, Toronto, Minnesota and more), whether the NBA should stay committed to Wembanyama as its marquee star, and how Miami’s playoff equation changes with Giannis in the mix.

We finish with MVP picks and full Finals predictions, so you can bookmark the receipts now and brag later. If you like NBA predictions, MVP odds talk, Finals matchup debate, and honest arguments from real hoops fans, hit play, then subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review with your own Finals pick.
