"This wasn’t supposed to happen. I should’ve made better time. I should be closer by now. But every turn I make feels like another mistake."

EPISODE 3

"Long Haul 1983" is a solo tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) that explores themes of isolation, trauma, and the haunting feeling of being lost in a desolate world. Follow Tara Foster on her journey across empty roads as she struggles to reconnect with her lost brother Lee and face the terrifying unknown. Will she make it in time? Or will she be swallowed by the silence?

Content Warning: Themes of isolation, abandonment, and psychological dread. This series may include triggers related to trauma, loss, and loneliness.

Land Acknowledgment: Work on Long Haul 1983 was done on the unceded lands of the Nisenan People, and across the ancestral lands of the Maidu, Miwok, Me-Wuk, and Patwin Wintun peoples. The game encourages players to reflect on the legacies of colonialism and stolen land. You can read more about the land acknowledgment and the full text in the Long Haul 1983 manual, available for purchase at this link.
