In the only podcast solely dedicated to the grassroots women's game, Jodie, Matt, Lou, Mollie, Goose and Joyce take a bi-monthly stroll through the chaos, joy and intrigue of club-level rugby. We celebrate the characters in the game, the essence and culture of rugby and shine a spotlight on the teams playing in various leagues around the country. Our very own legend Cherie (ChezSez) gives listeners a unique insight into her life in the sport and the mayhem of 70% off hour at Aldi. We will bring interviews from other clubs, ideas and general rugby love from the Grass Roots game. No prem, no International, just rugby as we all know and love. In the mud, in the bar, with your mates. Expect chat, regular sections, special guests and characters from the game, laughs and analysis. We will also tackle some of the more difficult subjects. Overall this is an extension of the rugby clubhouse where we share stories, ideas and facts from the fastest growing sport in the UK. Definitely not one for the car on the school run........ Rugby

    Season 2, episode 15
    23 Jan 2024

Welcome to episode 15, Season 2!

In this much delayed episode we apologise profusely for our incompetence and use a load of lame excuses, then discuss actual rugby excuses, some better than others.

We wring our hands with misery at the terrible season we’re having, and think of ways to fix it, discuss mental health and generally look at where things are at in the game.

Halbro join us for a chat, and overall we try to get back on track!

Season 2 episode 14 - The Avonmouth Aftermath and Chez is back
    8 Sep 2023

Welcome to episode 14 of Season 2 of GrassRoots!

In this tired and emotional episode we piece together the wreckage of the GrassRoots festival in Avonmouth, digest the weekend and celebrate all that was fantastic about another top weekend of rugby fun.

We welcome back Cherie from her hiatus, hear all about her camping disaster and why you should check the bottle before tucking into the airport duty free on holiday.

Our interview for this episode is with Oli, Director of Playing at Ipswich RUFC who gives us the lowdown on their amazing fundraiser for the My Name Is Doddie foundation.

This podcast is absolutely hilarious ! I started playing rugby this season, this post cast has not only been insightful but it is also hilarious !

Sadly audible doesn’t play episodes in order (audibles issue) so if anyone else experiences this, it’s not the fault of the podcast itself. I turned off automatic play next in settings to save confusion as it skips from the early episodes I’m currently on to the final episode !!

This post cast is WELL worth the listen especially for women who play the sport, or perhaps even have a partner, loved one of child who plays !

I always listen when cleaning or driving, and each episode has me in stitches laughing !

Keep it up GrassRoots !! 🫶🫶

Hilarious !
