Welcome to Season 2 of Go Figure with Oglestien. Hope you're having a great start to 2026 and I'm glad to be back in the saddle.

We kick off our new season talking about Minneapolis. How could we not, right? There's so much going on up there and much of it is pivotal to how the Democrat party is approaching their elections. So we talk about that, shout out a special Happy Birthday, and give an update to our new church building. It's all here! Happy listening!

  • Confab with Jason Laporte, Part 3
    Nov 24 2025

It’s Thanksgiving week and this episode wraps up my conversation with my buddy, Jason Laporte. Be sure to check out Parts 1 and 2 of our talk. But if you haven’t listened to any of the first two episodes, be sure to listen to this one. Jason talks about his transition from liberalism to conservatism. He has a really fresh perspective on what being a conservative really means, and his explanation on how he went from hating Donald Trump to supporting him is really cool, and he lays it out in practical terms. I think you’ll really enjoy it. And hopefully, you’ll pick up some tips on how to talk about some tough topics maybe even around your holiday dinner tables.

  • Confab with Jason Laporte Part 2
    Nov 21 2025

Today’s episode is Part 2 of my conversation with my Christian brother, fellow worship participant, and local music legend, Jason Laporte. Today we talk about what it’s like to play music for a living, especially out in the secular public, while still managing to be a Christ follower and the scrutiny we’ve faced trying to reconcile those two worlds to our Christian brothers and sisters. We also talk about the challenges we’ve faced with still trying to find opportunities to tell people about Jesus when we’re not inside the walls of the church playing music. And we share with each other the ways we’ve tried to still maintain a lifestyle that’s set apart from the secular world.
