This Magic Life Podcast

By: Bonnie Lippincott aka an entry level mom
Listen for free

This Magic Life is the companion podcast to Bonnie Lippincott’s book This Magic Life (Coming Q2 2026). This is a space for exploring the unseen forces shaping our lives: intuition, creativity, motherhood, work, and the invisible thread that connects every living being.

Originally, I imagined this next chapter as Mid-Level Manager Mom (following Entry Level Mom), with an eventual CEO-Level Mom. But after stepping away from corporate America, the idea of “leveling up” in motherhood no longer fit. This podcast reflects that shift — from titles and ladders to alignment, presence, and living with intention.

Through solo reflections and intimate conversations, This Magic Life invites listeners to reframe success, trust themselves, and recognize the quiet magic woven into everyday life.

    Show Notes

In this episode, Bonnie sits down with Amy G, president of OMBODY, to explore a new approach to menstrual wellness: a wearable, drug-free neurostimulation device designed to help women manage period symptoms more comfortably.Amy explains how OMBODY uses transcutaneous auricular neurostimulation (tANS) to stimulate nerves around the ear, support the nervous system, and help the body do what it already naturally does—only in a more relaxed state.

OhmBody | Smart Relief for Period Discomfort & Wellness

They discuss the science behind the device, including its potential to reduce heavy bleeding, cramping, gastric upset, mood instability, anxiety, and sleeplessness. The conversation also goes beyond the product itself and into the bigger picture of women’s health: why painful periods are often dismissed, how women have historically been excluded from clinical trials, and why menstrual health deserves more research, more funding, and more honest conversation.Amy shares OMBODY’s mission to make menstrual care more accessible and normalized, especially for moms and daughters navigating periods for the first time. She also talks about the company’s clinical roadmap, future research on adolescents and adults with heavy menstrual bleeding, and the importance of keeping the product direct-to-consumer so it remains accessible.

    Topics Covered

    • What OMBODY is and how it works
    • The role of the vagus, trigeminal, and splenic nerves
    • Heavy menstrual bleeding and cramping relief
    • Why painful periods are not normal
    • The gap in women’s health research and clinical trials
    • Perimenopause, postpartum, and future applications
    • Accessibility, direct-to-consumer care, and FSA/HSA options
    • Normalizing menstruation at home and in culture

    Key Takeaways

    • OMBODY is designed to support the body, not override it.
    • Menstrual pain and excessive bleeding should not be treated as “just part of being a woman.”
    • Women’s bodies are complex, variable, and underrepresented in research.
    • Better menstrual care starts with better education
