We often look for God to do something extraordinary in our lives. A big breakthrough, a significant opportunity, or a complete turnaround in our circumstances.

But what happens when what God places before us seems too small, too ordinary, or even insignificant?

Have you ever dismissed an opportunity because it didn't look promising enough?

Or wondered whether God was still working in your life after a setback, disappointment, or loss?

In Zechariah 4:10, the Bible asks a remarkable question: “For who has despised the day of small things?”

The Israelites had experienced exile and the loss of everything familiar. Yet God remained faithful to His promise and brought them back to Jerusalem. He chose Zerubbabel to lead the rebuilding of the temple, reminding us that God's plans are never without purpose, even when the beginning looks small.

• But why does God place such importance on small beginnings?
• What can we learn from Zerubbabel's story?
• And how do we recognise God's hand in the opportunities, people, and circumstances He places before us?

In this week's episode, we explore God's faithfulness, His perfect timing, and the promises hidden within seemingly insignificant beginnings.

Never underestimate what God can do with a small beginning.
If you're starting over, dealing with disappointment, grieving a loss, or wondering whether the little you have today is enough, this message is for you.
