About this listen

On 8 March 2014, a Boeing 777 travelling from Malaysia to Beijing with 239 people onboard disappeared. Despite the most expensive and expansive search in human history, it has never been found.

Was it one of the largest ever acts of mass murder, a hijacking that went wrong, or was it something less sinister like technical failure? Aviation experts have no answers. Politicians have no easy solutions. Families have no bodies to bury.

This Audible Original podcast is co-presented by journalist and broadcaster Jana Wendt and Peter Waring a former Australian naval officer who worked on the search. It re-examines the evidence and tells the inside story of those whose lives have been consumed by aviation’s most perplexing mystery.

The disappearance of MH370 is dealt with sensitively and with respect to the victims and their families, but also presented intelligently to be captivating to the audience. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the episodes, even though 'enjoy' doesn't seem like the right word for such a tragedy.

This is a harrowing story, awful for the relatives. It’s difficult to tell stories like this as without proof theories fill the void. When listening the tangents that are disproved mean you quickly become cynical when a new expert is introduced. The ending is eye opening and thought provoking
