Changeling (2008) | Eastwood Adapts Horrific True-Crime Story with Angelina Jolie
    22 Oct 2026

This week, we dive deep into Changeling (2008)—Eastwood’s haunting, real-life mystery starring Angelina Jolie in an Oscar-nominated performance as Christine Collins.

We break down Clint’s sparse, classical directing style, the stark period detail of 1920s Los Angeles, and how this brutal story of corruption, systemic bias, and maternal grief fits into Eastwood’s broader filmography.

    15 Oct 2026

This week, Atlanta film critic Mark Hofmeyer joins to break down why "Letters from Iwo Jima" is one of Clint's most powerful and empathetic pictures, a hauntingly intimate look at WWII from the perspective of the Japanese forces holding the island.

We break down Eastwood’s masterclass in visual storytelling, Ken Watanabe’s unforgettable performance, and how this companion piece to Flags of Our Fathers became one of the defining masterpieces of Clint’s directorial career.

  • Flags of Our Fathers (2006) | Eastwood Confronts American Myth Making During WWII

Flags of Our Fathers (2006) | Eastwood Confronts American Myth Making During WWII
    8 Oct 2026

This week, the guys take a look back at "Flags of Our Fathers," the first of two movies Eastwood would release about the battle of Iwo Jima in 2006.

For this one, Clint sets his eyes on the men who were photographed raising the flag in the midst of the battle, or at least, that's the story we in America would hear.

The movie gives us a chance to examine our history with WWII movies and the national mythology they play into, sometimes erasing a more complex and tragic history.
