  • 171 | Delegating as a Business Owner: Letting Go and Growth
    14 Oct 2026

Episode 171: How to Delegate as a Business Owner: Letting Go and Growth

You already know you need to delegate. Knowing it isn’t the hard part. Letting it go is.

If you’ve ever handed something off, then checked on it, taken it back, or answered every question because that felt easier than explaining, this episode is for you. It’s not that you’re doing anything wrong. That instinct comes from caring. The problem is that everything you care about still lives inside your head, and your team can’t see any of it unless you give it to them.

In this episode, I share the shifts that make letting go feel less like losing control and more like building trust. We talk about starting with lower-risk tasks, explaining the why behind the work, getting clear on what a finished result looks like, and deciding which decisions belong to your team. I also share why asking your team to bring solutions, not just questions, helps you stop simply delegating and start growing the people who work with you.

And I want to remind you of this. You were never meant to carry every answer by yourself. When you make room for your team, you’re not losing control of your business. You’re stewarding it well.

  • 170 | 5 Signs You’ve Become the Bottleneck in Your Business
    23 Sep 2026

    Hey friend,

If you've ever looked at your business and thought, everything is technically working, so why does it feel like I'm holding it all together, this episode is for you.

You're serving your clients. Revenue is coming in. Maybe you even have a little help. But you're still the one everybody comes to for the answer. You're still remembering what happens next, checking whether things got done, following up with everyone. That mental list never seems to get shorter.

In this episode, I walk you through five signs that you've quietly become the bottleneck in your own business. (00:00)

The first sign shows up when your team can't move without you, because the answers still live in your head instead of somewhere they can find them on their own. (01:17)

The second is what happens when you get busy or step away, and everything else just stalls out. Follow ups sit. Marketing gets pushed aside. Projects wait. (02:22)

The third is repeating the same work over and over, the same email, the same explanation, the same search, which is usually a sign something needs to become a template or a system instead. (03:22)

The fourth is being afraid to step away, because part of you doesn't trust what's underneath the business to hold while you're gone. (04:03)

And the fifth is spending more time managing the day to day than actually leading your business forward. (04:52)

Why does this matter for you? Because if you're carrying all of this, you're not leading your business anymore, you're just holding it up. And that's exhausting in a way that's hard to explain to anyone who isn't doing it too.

So I give you a simple way to start spotting your own bottlenecks, by noticing where people wait on you, what you keep having to remember, and what stops moving the second you step back. (05:32)

Then I ask you the one question I want you sitting with this week. If you stepped away for seven days, what would actually stop? (06:46)

Whatever came to mind first is exactly where to start looking.

If you're ready to get real clarity on where your bottlenecks are and what to actually do about them, that's exactly what I walk you through inside an operational audit. I take a close look at your systems, your team, your workflows, and where too much is still relying on you, then hand you a practical roadmap for what to simplify, delegate, or improve. (06:58)

00:00 Are You the Bottleneck 01:17 Sign 1 Answers Live in You 02:22 Sign 2 Progress Stops 03:22 Sign 3 Repeating Work 04:03 Sign 4 Afraid to Step Away 04:52 Sign 5 Managing Not Leading 05:32 Spot Your Bottlenecks 06:46 One Week Away Test 06:58 Operational Audit Offer 07:55 Final Thanks and Outro

If this episode hit close to home, don't go rebuild your whole business overnight. Just start noticing. And if you want help seeing it clearly, grab your spot for an operational audit using the link above.

I pray this encourages you today, friend. You don't have to carry it all alone.

  • 169 | Season 2 Kickoff: From Content Systems to Business Systems That Make Work Feel Lighter
    9 Sep 2026

Season 2 Kickoff: From Content Systems to Business Systems That Make Work Feel Lighter

Hey friend! Welcome to season two of the Content Systems for Growth Podcast. If you've been with me for a while, you know season one was all about content systems, creating more consistently, building workflows that actually repeat, and finally getting content to feel less overwhelming. This episode is a little different, and I think it might be exactly what you need to hear right now.

Here's what's inside. I'm sharing why I'm shifting the whole focus of this podcast from content systems to business systems, and honestly, it's because I noticed something in my own business and in the businesses of the women I work with. Content usually isn't the whole problem. Sometimes it isn't even the biggest one. [00:00]

If your business is technically working but you're still the one holding it all together, this episode is for you. You have happy clients. Revenue is coming in. Maybe you even have a contractor or two helping out. But you're still the glue. You're the one remembering the follow up, checking that a project moved forward, answering the question your team has already asked before. That's exhausting, and it's not sustainable. [01:03]

I walk you through what season two is actually going to cover. We're talking workflows behind the scenes, client experience, project management, onboarding and offboarding, documentation and SOPs, your team and delegation, and yes, practical AI use too. Not chasing 97 new tools, just using AI in the business you already have. [02:28]

This is where it solves her problem. If you're tired of feeling like you have to do more just to feel a little less overwhelmed, I want you to hear this loud and clear. This season is not about doing more. It's about making the work you're already doing easier to see, easier to repeat, and easier to hand off. [04:31]

I also share a stewardship perspective that's been on my heart as I made this shift. We talk a lot about stewarding our money well, but stewardship applies to our time, our energy, and the business God has entrusted to us too. Sometimes wisdom looks like putting structure around what you've already been given, not adding more to your plate. [05:36]

Before we wrap up, I leave you with one question to sit with. What part of your business is only working because you keep remembering to make it work? Pay attention to what comes to mind first, because that might be exactly where you need to start. [07:28]

I pray this encouraged you today, and I'm really glad you're here for season two.

    Let's grow, friends.
