Mum’s dressed like Tom Cruise, Sean’s already spent over €200, and somehow we’ve ended up arguing about whether grandparents should be allowed to hug their own grandchildren! 😂

This week on The Confession Box, we’re chatting about Cork’s Jazz Weekend, the crowds, the queues, and why some people would rather go home than queue for a pint.

Then we get into a very expensive day out. Coffee for everyone, lunch, shopping, UGG boots, and Mum trying to get a deal wherever she goes. Sean’s wallet definitely takes a hit! 💸

We also hear about Mum’s Halloween look, which apparently has everyone thinking of Tom Cruise, and her upcoming trip to Belfast for the Black Cab tour and the Titanic Experience two things that have been on her bucket list for years.

Things get a little more serious when the conversation turns to an advert about grandparents and consent, sparking a debate about affection, boundaries, and whether the message was delivered the right way.

And just when you think we’ve covered everything, we end up talking about mindfulness, Pilates, wildlife documentaries, clever ants, dung beetles and the incredible ways animals work together. 🐜😂

Nana P has done it again! 😂

This week on The Confession Box, we’re talking birthday surprises, holiday plans and the kind of family chaos that only gets funnier the more you hear about it.

Julie had planned a surprise trip to Legoland for the twins, with strict instructions that nobody was to tell them where they were going. Unfortunately, after a bottle of wine and an Irish coffee, Nana P had other ideas… and suddenly everyone knew about Legoland! 🍷😂 Then came the debate over who took the tip money, and the question of whether Nana P should be trusted with any secrets at all.

We chat about the family’s trip to Legoland, the restaurant meal beforehand, Sean’s night out, and the gin and tonics that mysteriously disappeared while someone was minding the house. There are also birthday plans involving Prague’s Christmas markets, a potential trip to Africa that raises a few questions, and the ongoing struggle of trying to help parents with phones, passwords and technology.

Add in discussions about nature, dinosaurs, true crime, dancing, fishing, a birthday Hummer and a few more family stories, and you have another episode full of laughs and questionable decisions!

Sean is finally back in the Confession Box, although apparently he’s been enjoying a few weeks of “peace” while everyone else was looking for him. 😂

Mum has plenty going on too, including getting her ceilings painted, trying to get a discount from the painter by offering him a plug on the podcast, and somehow comparing the whole thing to getting the Sistine Chapel painted. 😂

We hear all about Fionn’s fishing trip, including the unbelievable story of him catching an eel on his very last cast and then coming away with a trophy.

There’s also plenty of catching up on Sean’s beard, some serious accusations about whether he’s secretly been seeing someone, people recognising the podcast out and about, and Julie potentially heading off to South Africa for a trip involving Cape Town and a safari.

Then things take a turn when the conversation moves onto health appointments, scans, smear tests and the latest things people are finding on TikTok before we get onto a completely different kind of story involving a huge bag of gravel and a woman determined to move it herself.

“I’m an Irish woman. I’m independent. I’ve got this.” 😂

And finally, the gang get talking about emergency supplies, wind-up radios, unpredictable weather, power cuts and whether we should all be preparing for the apocalypse.
