Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is both truly God and truly man, an indissoluble union of two natures in one Person. This confession was not invented by Greek philosophy, nor by church councils, but is a summation of what the Bible reveals about Jesus.

What are the essentials we need to know in communicating this invaluable truth to a world that is rampant with skepticism and individual autonomy? This week on Apologetics Profile we continue our conversation with author, theologian, and professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary Dr. Stephen J. Wellum about his 2016 book, God the Son Incarnate The Doctrine of Christ.

From the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary website:
Dr. Stephen Wellum is Editor of The Southern Baptist Journal of Theology and Professor of Christian Theology. Wellum came to Southern Seminary from Associated Canadian Theological Schools and Northwest Baptist Theological College and Seminary where he had taught theology since 1996. Dr. Wellum is married to Karen, and they have five children. Wellum is an elder at Faith Community Church in Prospect, Kentucky.

Who is Jesus? How do we explain the uniqueness of both His divine and human nature in an unbelieving world today? How do Enlightenment and postmodern philosophies influence us and prevent us from seeing what the Bible really says about Him?

This week and next we'll be chatting with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary professor, author, and theologian Dr. Stephen J. Wellum about these and other Christological topics from his 2016 book God the Son Incarnate The Doctrine of Christ.

This week we continue our conversation with author and theologian Andrew S. Malone about the Aaronic priesthood and the curious king of Salem Melchizedek, and how they both point us ultimately to Jesus, especially in the New Testament Book of Hebrews.

Dr. Andrew S. Malone is the author of God’s Mediators: A Biblical Theology of Priesthood and Knowing Jesus in the Old Testament? A Fresh Look at Christophanies.
