Anthrax joins Chris Jericho backstage at the Alamodome to break down “Cursum Perficio,” their first new album in 10 years, and what it took to finally get Scott Ian, Frank Bello, Joey Belladonna, Jon Donais and Charlie Benante back in the room making music together. They get into “The Long Goodbye,” “NYC 1993,” “Edge of Perfection,” Joey’s unique recording process, Jon’s guitar solos, and the challenge of playing brand-new Anthrax songs live. They share their incredible Ozzy Osbourne Back to the Beginning experience, how Anthrax got the call, the scramble to land a Black Sabbath song for their set, finally getting “Into The Void,” Frank’s emotional performance with Yungblud, and Scott and Frank hanging with Ozzy just days before his passing. They also talk touring with Iron Maiden, watching Maiden from the side of the stage, and the ultimate Maiden road story about flying on Ed Force One with Bruce Dickinson at the controls! Plus, they revisit State of Euphoria, the new generation discovering classic metal, and what’s next for Anthrax as they take “Cursum Perficio” on the road.
