But when harmful behavior becomes a repeated pattern that destroys trust, peace, dignity, and spiritual growth, it's time to stop making excuses and start seeking God's wisdom.

You can forgive without giving someone unlimited access to you. You can love someone without enabling destructive behavior. You can pray for someone while establishing healthy boundaries. And you can trust God without ignoring the warning signs right in front of you!

💥 TONIGHT'S CHALLENGE: Stop asking only, “Lord, change them!” and start asking, “Lord, show me what I need to recognize, release, confront, and change within myself!”

You can have the gifts, the knowledge, the faith, and the ability to lead—but if love is missing, something essential is missing.

The title “Five Minus One Equals Zero” points to a powerful spiritual truth rooted in 1 Corinthians 13: No matter how gifted or accomplished we are, without love, our spiritual achievements lose their true value.

1 Corinthians 13:2 (KJV) says:

“And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.”

God does not simply call us to lead people. He calls us to love them.

The five things that amount to nothing without love

Drawing from 1 Corinthians 13:1–3, Strauch emphasizes that even extraordinary spiritual abilities and sacrifices cannot replace genuine Christian love.

1. Powerful speech: You can speak beautifully, but without love, your words become empty noise.
2. Knowledge: You can understand Scripture and teach others, but without love, your knowledge can become pride.
3. Faith: You can demonstrate remarkable faith, but without love, you miss something central to Christlike character.
4. Generosity: You can give everything you own, but giving without love can lack the right motive.
5. Sacrifice: You can make extraordinary personal sacrifices, but without love, they bring no spiritual gain in Paul's teaching.You can have the title, the microphone, the ministry, the knowledge, and the influence—but if love is absent, what are you really leading people toward?

Don't Let Yesterday's Pain Steal Tomorrow's Promise!

Have you ever looked at your life and wondered, “Lord, is there anything better waiting for me?” Maybe you've experienced disappointment, heartbreak, rejection, financial struggles, or seasons when it felt like nothing was moving in your favor. Perhaps you've prayed, cried, waited, and wondered when your season of change would finally arrive.

But hear this: YOUR STORY IS NOT OVER!

What you've been through does not determine what God can do next. Your past may explain some of your struggles, but it does not have to dictate your future. God is still working, still moving, and still able to bring purpose out of seasons you thought would break you.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV) reminds us:

“He hath made every thing beautiful in his time...”

God's timing may not always match our expectations, but waiting does not mean He has forgotten us. Sometimes, while we're waiting for God to change our circumstances, He's developing our character, strengthening our faith, and preparing us for what lies ahead.

DON'T GET STUCK IN WHAT WAS!

You cannot embrace a new season while constantly living in yesterday.

Isaiah 43:18–19 (KJV) says:

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?”

God's invitation is to remain open to His leading and trust Him with your future. The new thing may not look like what you expected, but you can trust Him to guide you one step at a time.

YOUR BEST DAYS ARE NOT DEFINED BY YOUR WORST DAYS!

Maybe you've been knocked down, but you can rise again. Maybe you've lost something precious, but you can still find joy. Maybe you've made mistakes, but you can still grow in wisdom. And maybe you're in a season where you cannot see the outcome—but you can still walk by faith.

Philippians 1:6 (KJV) reminds us that God, who began a good work in His people, is faithful to continue His work.

You don't have to know every detail of tomorrow to trust the God who holds it.

Come expecting encouragement, renewed hope, and a fresh reminder that your current circumstances do not have the final word. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep moving forward with God.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

I will not let yesterday steal my joy today. I will not let disappointment destroy my hope. I will not let fear determine my future. I will trust God's timing, follow His direction, and believe that He is still working in my life!
