Story
He understood why she did it. She had lost her own baby - one conceived by the unwanted advances of a sexual predator - and hated thinking of them out there in the cemetery, alone and cold. She had to bring them into the warmth. She had to give them the lives they'd otherwise never live. It was her mission. But with each new doll brought home, her yearning for a living child of her own continued to grow. Yes, he knew why she did it, but even so, he wasn't able to stand by her, and he knew she was going to get a lot worse before she got better.

Story
I don't use the term "bully" lightly. However, I have no qualms about using it when it comes to Max Cooper. Arrogant. Aggravating. Annoying. The only reason we put up with each other is because we share the same best friend. Then, everything suddenly changes when Max is involved in a horrific accident that sets him back three years. He remembers his friends, but here's the real kicker: He doesn't remember...me. Over time, I get to know the real Max Cooper. The one who can be sweet, funny, and kind. But no one is prepared for the real terror that's about to unfold.

Have you ever wanted the power to decide who the heroine of a story will ultimately end up with? Now is your chance with Drawn 2, where you have the choice of two sequels in which the characters follow two different paths to lead them to your chosen "happily ever after". This is not two stories told from different points of view. This is not an alternate ending - it's an entirely separate path that listeners who choose to listen to both sequels will appreciate the "sliding door" moments that set our characters off in different directions.

Story
I didn't know darkness and evil lurked inside me until I had to murder to survive, forced to become my own worst enemy. With so much blood on my hands, I was surprised I could still see my own skin. I killed, I tortured, I loved. I played God while I was rotting in a fiery inferno. Thriving on control and power was the only way I knew how to live. There were no other options. If you weren't my friend, you were my foe. If you weren't with me, you were against me - traitors, as I called them. There were no imaginary lines. I'd crossed them all.

They thought I would do my job. They thought I would kill her. They thought wrong. I'm a dangerous man. It only takes one panty-dropping, mouth-watering look to know it. You may be fooled by my good looks and charm. But my eyes give it away. I'm the hitman for the Valetti familia. They want men to talk, and I make them talk. They want men gone - bang, it's done. It's as simple as that. Until her.

the whole story is told from his mothers POV
This is a review of the third book in a series, please read them first before reading this as there will be spoilers here to what happens in those.
No I don’t know about you. But I thought that sickER Bastards did a pretty good job of wrapping this highly disturbing series up. So you can imagine my surprise when I found out about this third and thankfully shortest addition.
sickEST Bastards picks up right where sickER leaves off. Brother is now at his original home with his real parents. Now he finds himself in a situation I don’t think he ever dreamed of. Having killed is real father, he is now the man of the house and decides to become the partner to his real mother. Yes. In all ways. Especially in the perverted ways.
What I liked most about sickEST is that the whole story is told from his mothers perspective. Letting us in an all of the thoughts and horrors going on within her mind. Wrestling with what has just happened in her life. Finding that all her son seems to care about is eating flesh and extreme insetual assult for his own pleasure.
Being only 51 mins long it is hard to say more than this without giving everything away. I find myself wondering who is really the sickEST person here. Matt Shaw for imagining and writing all of this down, Chris Barnes for speaking it out loud or myself for willingly allowing myself to be subjected to the most horrific and perverted stories in existence. You be the judge.
I will say that sickEST is an iron clad finale to this series of total wrongness, or maybe it simply starts the entire circle of perversion all over again.
I have sang many praises over pretty much every performance by Chris Barnes. His performance here is no different. I knew to expect a phenomenal listening adventure with him and the helm. I will always expect this until I am disappointed and I do not ever see that happening.
Just because I have agreed to review books that might question my character. I in NO way condone or approve of any questionable sexual experiences.
