I had a good feeling about this one and rightfully so!
The character, the storyline, the narrators it all came together perfectly. I finished this book yesterday and it hasn't left my mind since.
This story is heartbreaking, but also beautiful. It's about expectations/tradition, endurance, survival and physical and mental abuse. But also about finding a safe haven, friendship, acceptance, healing and letting go. I cried, I laughed, I felt hot fury and the beauty of undeniable/ unwavering love.
I loved Alex and Anastasia’s connection so much. Alex is an amazing MMC, he is solid, safe and warm/caring character. Anastasia I just wanted to hug and tell her she is not alone and that all she has to endure isn’t normal. My heart broke for her, but I was so proud of her at the end. Cause healing from trauma like that takes time and she couldn’t have had a better supporter/safe haven in the same building as Alex🥹.
@savannahreadsromance and @seanmastersaudio, you guys brought these characters to live with such a raw and emotional performance. You we're both incredible!! You guys made my feelings go all over the place from rage to tears, to having trouble keeping my face in check in public because the scene we’re that hot🥵 10/10🫶🏾
