Summary
'The queen of rom com!' Rebecca Raisin
Two reluctant housemates. One question: Is this your place or mine...?
When Serena is kicked out of her flat, an offer from her friend, Taylor, to house sit for her while she and her husband go travelling could not be better timing. But unfortunately for Serena she’s not the only one to have received this offer…
Enter Ziggy: arrogant, messy (and annoyingly handsome) musician, and friend of Taylor’s husband. Living with him is far from ideal, especially when he claims the best room, has loud parties - and the least said about his kitchen manner the better...
There's just one solution for Serena – drive him out of the house by being twice as difficult to live with than he is! But Ziggy knows Serena's game and as war ensues between them, being forced together under one roof may result in some unexpected consequences...
A laugh-out-loud, enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, opposites attract romantic comedy from MILLION-COPY BESTSELLER Portia MacIntosh - guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

So cheesy but a cute listen
Lighthearted and sweet. Narrator was good and I kept engaged throughout. Won't set the world alight but I enjoyed it!

the passive aggressive behaviour is almost too much.
I had a hard time liking Ziggy. he was mean and awful. how she could fall for him was awful.

Enjoyable easy listen
Enjoyed this on the whole. Feel the story could have been a little bit better, and took a while to get into it. But good characters and nice romance with a good ending

A feel good story
I didn’t expect much from the initial byline. However, it was a very feel good story well narrated. Thanks for cheering up a dull January

similar to Stuck with You by Ali Hazelwood
I enjoyed the book but they really missed out on recording this book in a real northerner accent.

Yorkshire and it's people at it's best
the story was so believable and funny plus the fact that I grew up in Leeds made it so enjoyable.

*Entertaining*
This was a very cosy and light read. Hard to put down, I just could not get enough of it. When you read a Portia MacIntosh book you kind of know what you are going to get, entertainment, quite often there are enemies to lovers tales like this one and I generally enjoy the journey of seeing the characters develop.
Serena is grieving when her boss who was very kind to her and others passes away. She worked in Diana’s wonderful tea room/cafe that was doing a roaring trade and Diana allowed her to live in the flat above virtually rent free.
At this news Diana’s awful children with pound signs in their eyes royally kick Serena out and close the business. Serena’s friend Taylor offers her the chance to house sit while she goes travelling with her husband.
Now her joy at having a place to stay is short lived. When she arrives unbeknownst to Serena she will not be alone. Taylor’s husband also asked someone to house sit in the shape of a musician called Ziggy.
Serena and Ziggy clash from the outset, each one trying to do things to get rid of the other, then things come to a head - I will say no more….
