I enjoyed some perspectives more than others. The autistic teenage daughter's chapters made me laugh although I didn't love the e-mail format for the storytelling there. Although I like second person writing I didn't like the Choose Your Own Adventure book style of the final section. If you're doing that you need to commit to it and let people see what the sane choices lead to.

The story was fun overall. I think it's lucky the author is Jewish and writing from experience because a lot of the characters lean hard into Jewish stereotypes. I liked most of the characters although I wish we'd had more plotlines resolved/explained. The narration of the audiobook by Karen White was solid. I just can't give it five stars because of the formatting and the odd character decisions.

I would highly recommend this book, it’s witty. I like the way it captures the characters in a naturalistic but entertaining way and the touches of magical realism and the original way the story is told in different formats adds an interesting texture to the narrative.

Really enjoyed this book original, gripping and intelligently entertaining
