Summary

All winter long people in the Green Hollows have prepared for a final battle with Gnag the Nameless and the Fangs of Dang. Janner, Kalmar, and Leeli - Throne Warden, Wolf King, and Song Maiden of Anniera - are ready and willing to fight alongside the Hollowsfolk, but when the Fangs make the first move and invade Ban Rona, the children are separated. Janner is alone and lost in the hills; Leeli is fighting the Fangs from the rooftops of the city; and Kalmar, who carries a terrible secret, is on a course for the Deeps of Throg. Meanwhile in Skree, Sara Cobbler and Maraly Weaver care for the broken Artham Wingfeather as Fangs muster for battle across the Mighty River Blapp.

Sea dragons lurk in the waters. Wicked Stranders crawl through the burrows. Ridgerunners and trolls prowl the land. Cloven haunt the forest. Monsters and Fangs and villains lie between the children and their only hope of victory - in the epic conclusion of The Wingfeather Saga.

Extraordinary Tale!

This has been an absolute thrill to read. The epic conclusion to an excellent saga, The Warden and the Wolf King is a moving allegory for the sacrifice Jesus made for us. Aside from the thrilling adventure and suspenseful storyline, this tale will be in my audio and print library for a lifetime.

Non-stop Adventure Packed With Surprises

As the fourth and final book in the series. The Warden and the Wolf King continues to deliver plenty of action, as we ride with the characters as they careen around each new turn of the well-crafted storyline, through dangerous and seemingly hopeless situations. Peterson develops his memorable, lovable, and even the despicable characters with artistry and panache. Tremendous finish for the Wingfeather Saga.

I thoroughly enjoyed listen to all four of the Wingfeather series! There was never a dull moment. Adults and children can delight in this very detailed, well written story.

Mostly good

Excellent series. Just wish the end wasn't such a cliff-hanger. Want to know the resolution.

Every childhood should include the Wingfeathers

The only series we have read that rivals the Chronicles of Narnia. If you are looking for stories that your children can grow up on, this is it. Harry Potter is fine and entertaining but the Wingfeather Saga is character shaping.

Instant Classic!!!

What an amazing journey. For two weeks now I can’t put down this Wingfeather Saga. Each book deeper and better than the last. Your heart will melt as you read the story of the Wingfeather children and their quest for truth, life and wholeness not just for themselves but even for others. A great story, great plot, well developed and amazing ending.

Praying this fits the big screen one day.

Best series ever!

In the last 18 months my 10yod has listened to this 4-book series at least eight times, maybe more. This is the final book in the series and I still cry every time. Janner, Tink, and Leeli capture our hearts with their courage and unified commitment to shining ideals. I love their interactions with their parents and other great mentors. We laugh and we cry as we listen to the adventures and watch them rise up and fulfill their roles and responsibilities. In the tradition of Narnia, stepping into the land of Aerwiar will change you forever for the better.
