Publisher's Summary

"I'd want you to help me win a war...."

After discovering the shocking secret buried deep within The Green, Violet has a grave decision to make.

Trust the woman who saved her, or not?

So far, everything about the woman has taken Violet by surprise. Her behavior has been honest and upfront - a refreshing change for Violet. Besides, with one of her loved ones hanging on life support and the other close to falling completely out of reach, Violet doesn't exactly have a lot of choice.

Her only way forward is to embark on a dicey excursion. For this, she knows, she needs the Liberators' help - and must be prepared to take whatever risks that come with.

But what neither she nor any of her new Liberator comrades can prepare for is just how deep the lies of their homelands run....

Continue Violet and Viggo's journey in the explosive third book of the best-selling The Gender Game series.

    "Rebelious Violet & Viggo..."

So pleased this series is still full of twists and turns and mostly fast paced.

I love the Violet & Viggo relationship that's developing further as they start to trust each other.

Still feel there's lots more to come from this series, I'm hooked.

Interested to see what becomes of the boys......

What disappointed you about The Gender Lie?

The first book in the series started off good. It had good flow and reasonable challenges. Great chemistry and a fun twist. Book two I had to push through, and this one I'm surprised my eyes didn't get stuck in the back of my head. I tried so hard to like them but it just never stopped. And it doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon.

Would you ever listen to anything by Bella Forrest again?

No, I love book series, but not all stories have enough "umph" to get passed two or three books. I will have to return the series, honestly it was just too much bleh. I tried.

What does Rebecca Soler and Jason Clarke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Good question, I enjoyed these two, honestly I don't think I could have read it without them.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Book one.

    Any additional comments?

I hate being so negative!!!!! I was so excited about the series, but it just fell flat and kept right on going. :(

    "Slower than the first two"

This book was not as riveting as the two before it. It had its moments at the beginning, but I soon found that I couldn't wait til it was over, so that I could start the next one. Hopefully #4 will be better. I'm not giving up on the series yet.

    "Stop Smirking"

Lots of complexities added many layers of interest. I didn't see the plot twists and they made the story enthralling. However, the author needs a thesaurus and a bit of imagination as the overuse of the verb "smirk" became almost intolerable (almost because I am quickly getting the next book in the series).

"Just more than I expected and definitely better"

This third book in THE GENDER GAME SERIES was just excellent! The plot, the many twists, the new addition of characters and the two down right perfect performances of the narrators kept me glued to this third chapter in the series. l love this series and this book in particular. And I want to add a special mention to CHAPTER 29 in this book. The words and the narration has given me chills and a lot of different emotions. Thanks to the talented writer and narrator. I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.

"This is the book I stopped reading/listening at"

I couldn't keep reading after this point. I really enjoyed the first book and where it went, and then the second book grated on me and now I am stopping at the end of this book, especially after finding out there are like 5 more books? The world is not made well enough for me to be invested in the main character overcoming this dystopia. It's like a bad Hunger Games type of story except the bad guy keeps changing. The main character seems to have become a COMPLETELY different person than in the first book? I'm not interested enough to keep reading and I warn others to not even start or just read the first book and then cliffnotes the books after.

    "Good series"

I feel like the male narrator was bringing the story down. Otherwise, good series with a plot that has a lot of twists.

I like the turn of things towards the end. All looks simple but they are much more complicated. Love the tug and pull games the genders play. Love the book and the series.

Wasted a credit. Pitiful melodramatic crap. The 1st 2 books weren't so bad and lured me in. I cannot possibly read more, I need a good solidly written story. Not a romance novel pretending to be otherwise.
