Loved this book & narrator

I found it really easy to get immersed in this book from the get go. The narrator was great too.

Great start to an awesome series

When I first started listening I thought it was a little bit too teenager for me, and the first book in this series is a little like that but DO NOT let this put you off! Despite this I was gripped the whole time by the story and think the narrator was part of the reason for this.

After reading the whole series I would definitely recommend this book as they only get better! The next two books are amazing, which is rare find in a trilogy! If you love the hunger games or divergent series this is a good one!

Incredible concept that is well performed

I love this series! It's so well written and beautifully narrated. The narrator is perfect for the part and creates a really clear image in my head. It's a very interesting story with great concepts which challenge preconceived ideas of the world we live in now, by making parallels between the UK we live in and that within Slated. Although classed as 'young adult', I would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the lead being a teen girl. There are so many clever layers to this series that I think different people would get different things from it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Annoying voice

The story is really good and intertaining. But gosh the voice is hard to listen to

Underwhelming

I really disliked the main character, and it’s hard to save the rest from there. The concept is good but the performance is not.
I think this book suits a more younger audience since the language is quit underwhelming and it has no depth what so ever.
The characters overall are not believable. Here we have a world where illegal activities like having a computer or talking to a bird (?) is meant death or to be slated but still here we have Adian who meets our boring main character and thinks it’s a good idea to show her everything the very first time they meet. And what does she do? Well of course she tells Ben the first thing she does. And then she has the nerve to blame Adian for what happens to Ben.
Here we have Doctor Lisanda whom just caught Kyla looking through her computer rewarding her by looking at more and telling her that she trust her. It’s weird and not believable.
The book is overall boring and nothing really happens. I wouldn’t recommend it to an adult.

It hooked me, and now I need the next one!

This was an awesome story of mysterious forces and government conspiracy set in the near future, following a strong but confused and naive teen as she ties to find herself and survive after having her memories surgically removed.

I was on the edge of my seat half the time, lulled into false securities the rest, and always wanting to know what happened next.

I found Kyla could be a little whiny at times, mainly at the beginning of the book, so couldn't give it a 5 but it was definitely close!

Amazing

I have been reading and listening the Slated books for a long while now. Seven years now and still, it is still my favorite go to book series. When the audio book came out I was a little skeptical at first. I didn't like the voice but I soon got used to it and now, to this day at 22 I am appreciate the time and effort put into reading this book series.
Listening to it has made me understand the book even more with Kyla's and Ben's emotions towards one another and the running.
It helps me visualize where they are and what the characters are feeling. When they are happy, so am I. When they are sad, I feel it.

If you're wondering if you should get this book, I'd defiantly say yes. It is worth it. Book and Audio Book. One or the other.

It is absolutely breathtaking

The way Terry Teri describes the felling of the characters is divine. It is like an emotional roller coaster. I absolutely loved this book and I really recommend it.

Wanted More

This was a good story, but for me it needed a little more oompf, and started to go a little stale for ma as it felt a little slow.

The premise is great and the idea is great, i may try the second book amd hope it ramps up a bit
