Summary

Now available as an unabridged audiobook, Cherub: The Recruit is read by Simon Scardifield.

A terrorist doesn't let strangers in her flat because they might be undercover police or intelligence agents, but her children bring their mates home and they run all over the place. The terrorist doesn't know that a kid has bugged every room in her house, cloned the hard drive on her PC, and copied all the numbers in her phone book. The kid works for Cherub. Cherub agents are aged between 10 and 17. They live in the real world, slipping under adult radar and getting information that sends criminals and terrorists to jail.

overall pretty good

I remember reading this book when it first came out as a child. it's just as good now. Well paced and interesting. The narrator did a good job, but I found it difficult to enjoy simple due to my preconceived notions of what the characters sounded like. I highly recommend this audiobook.

You'll never want it to end!

If you don't like princesses or ponies then this might be your kind of book. This is what got me into reading, I've read them all now!

Fantastic book

Fantastic narrator, brilliant story, looking forward to the second book in the series! It would appeal to fans of the Alex Rider series, and James Bond!

Well executed child spy romp

Great opening to a series with lots of potential ahead. Good premise and realised nicely with some interesting young characters. Only reservation was that the final mission wasn't as rewarding at the build up! Will buy the books for my boys at some point of the back of listening to this, so very helpful.
