Summary

An actress since she was 14 years old, Paige Lockwood finds herself craving a little normalcy after a scandal rocks her otherwise predictable world. With everyone in her life attempting to control her, she takes matters into her own hands and leaves town without so much as a plan or a destination.

But the destination finds her as car trouble forces Paige to settle down in a small Southern town as she waits for repairs. There she meets the handsome, albeit standoffish, Tatum Montgomery, and both of their lives are forever altered as they learn that sometimes when you aren't looking for love, it finds you anyway. The real question is: Can you hold on to it when you're from two completely different worlds?

4.9 stars...

Loved the story. My reasons for 4.9 stars is the fact Jason Clarke didn't even bother with attempting a Louisiana accent. Plus, Jason pronounced the exes name as Bree-na (long E) and Erin Mallon pronounced it as Bre-nna (short E). I have no idea which one was correct...but you'd think this would be something that would be checked on/discussed beforehand. It was a little distracting. As I said though, great story. Those minor things aside.

So so story....great narration

Well this is my second and last book by this author. Loved the narration. It’s the only reason I finished the book. I loved the premise of the book. The execution of it was s l o w and boring. It’s sad when the most interesting parts are the mother, the friend and an old classmate. I just don’t think this author can write a good romance with fire and sass. One minute he was growling and grunting answers, the next he was in love and not much happened in between. She was whining and doing nothing. She got a little backbone too late in the book to save it. Should have happened when she left town then had more fir in the little town she visited. Too boring for too long. Thank goodness narration was good. Voices were the only thing that made me finish it.

Not clean

I listen to a total of 3 minutes. I was very disappointed that it talked dirty within that time. I heard from several that tho was a clean, cute book. Sad
