I started a YouTube channel_Travel Man Dan_ and I

I started a YouTube channel_Travel Man Dan_ and I definitely recommend YouTube secrets to anyone who wants to start, build or even be informed about YouTube and its power. I am in my infancy but these tips helped me already start growing my audience!
What I loved about the book was the way it described the basics of YouTube and how to grow your channel. Sean and Benji do a great way of explaining and teaching you ways of Youtube without leading you a bunch of lies. They are great at explaining the starting strategy with clear explanations and examples. A lot of my thoughts and questions were thoroughly explained and in a way that I could understand. They are informative and real with their audiences and explain what you need to do but don’t guarantee you and leave you with false hopes. Basically if you put in the work that they have done with the strategic way and done the research, you might be successful- the blueprint and secrets are great- well done thank you fellas!
You should buy this book if you are interested in starting, improving or learning how to grow a YouTube channel. They are solid influences and provide people with the must learn secrets- I applaud these guys for their grit and confidence to continue to teach, or release secrets they have learned through years of hard work. But this book if you wanna get better at Youtube.

I've been following Sean for quite some time. This guy is legit. All you have to do is go to YouTube and look up his channels, Video Influencers and Think Media. Once you watch just a couple videos, you will understand that this guy has a passion for helping others on YouTube. When I saw that they released a book, it was a no brainer! Sean and Benji have done a superb job with YouTube Secrets. This book ignited an excitement to improve my YouTube channel. I love how Sean and Benji have shared their personal experiences taking you from their humble beginnings on YouTube all the way to building a full time business on YouTube. This book is full of stories, examples, strategies and tactics that can be applied to your channel. You can literally take action on your YouTube channel after reading that book. I highly recommend this book. Don't just read the book, read it multiple times and take action. You won't be sorry!

A few issues that should have been mentioned - 1)

A few issues that should have been mentioned - 1) Clickbait - Should hype be used to get views? 2) Do you have to have video production skills to get viewed? Sean says no, but you are competing with companies that do. For example, the NFL puts games on YouTube a day after the games are played and Colbert airs the day after. 3) If video is so hot, why is he writing a book. 4) Diction and enunciation are important. I can't follow most of the British accents unless I pay close attention. Sound is more important than video for much of the audience who are doing other tasks while your video plays. So a podcast is OK for the over 30 crowd. 5) What's the copyright situation? Aimee Nolte can't teach from certain jazz recordings due to YouTube restrictions, even though she is covered under "fair use" legally. Take a look at Sean's 2019 video first. Youtube has added a few new tools for assessing your views. If you decide to do this, be prepared to hustle like Sean. YouTube is NOT a money machine. It's a job and you should treat it as such.

I have a national radio show and my YouTube conten

I have a national radio show and my YouTube content has been mostly just posting the audio of my radio shows with a single still graphic (although one short documentary I did has more than 700,000 views). Yes, people do 'listen' to radio shows on YouTube, but most of my listens are from iTunes downloads. I finally decided that I was largely wasting the opportunity on YouTube by using it for such a narrow purpose. I began watching some of Sean and Benji's videos a couple of months ago and got motivated to start creating videos that made more sense for YouTube. I am already seeing a huge spike in views and subscribers (even with short videos). One thing that really jumped out at me in the book was the idea that you don't do SEO AFTER you create the video, you do SEO first (before you decide to do the video in the first place). I don't do a lot of Amazon book reviews, but wanted to get one up quickly on this book as I think it will help so many people. I think these guys have a heart for helping people and that really comes out in their new book and their YouTube videos.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It gave lots of helpful tips on how to start your very own YouTube channel. It didn't just say "here's what you do" it told you how to do it. The book included pictures to reference what the text was saying. At the beginning it gave stats for how much of the world uses YouTube to watch videos. It tells you what you need in order to make your own videos as well as how to earn money from it. Overall it's a good book to get information for starting a YouTube channel from. If you're wanting to create videos you should definitely get this book as it will help guide you.

Topics covered included, monetization, social media, lighting, affiliate links, and much more. There's a treasure trove of information- I'll be keeping this book on hand as a useful reference tool and check list for my video production projects from now on.

There are a couple of errors:
Page 27, last paragraph, sentence 8 - the word "it your audience" should be , "it's your audience,"
Page 62, second paragraph, first line - the word "you going", should be "you're going"
Page 63, #2, third sentence - the word "feels" should "feel"
As in his previous book "Selling on Amazon", again there are no listings of his books on page 5

These guys have success on YouTube down to a scien

These guys have success on YouTube down to a science. No tricks or gimmicks, just solid strategies that have been proven to work in this exciting and rapidly changing industry. Newbies will be relieved to learn that contrary to popular belief, you don’t need a million subscribers to have a successful career on YouTube, if you use the multiple revenue sources they detail in the book, and veterans (like myself) will learn about some important and often overlooked areas that will help dramatically improve the performance of their videos and online business.

While I’ve been on YouTube since 2006, it took me TEN YEARS to reach the one million subscribers milestone through countless hours of not just content creation, but also research, trial and error, and brainstorming with other YouTubers because in the early years there weren’t any strategists who knew what the best practices were, or who helped channels think outside the box and beyond just AdSense as a revenue source.

Good for beginners, but..

A good beginner's guide, but a lot of what was listed seemed like common sense information. I was hoping for more of a detailed guide or maybe something about analytics and how to use it for channel growth. Analytics were touched on, but not very in depth.

Misuse of the word “Ultimate”

With a price under $5, this is a good, basic introduction to setting up a channel on YouTube. It’s certainly not worth more than that. I learned a few things, but not much. Very basic, no in-depth explanations of anything.

Very basic

If you have a YouTube channel, you don’t need this book. It was very basic and all of the information is free online.

You can feel the author's depth of knowledge in their words. What I found suprising is how easy the book is to read. It has a really nice flow.

There is a lack of granular tactics such as specific cripts and templates in the book though there are links to outside resources that may supply this. I haven't checked it out yet. Great read especially if you're starting your own channel.

This is a book for 16 year olds and 60 year old who know absolutely nothing about YouTube.
