Story
This audiobook is pragmatical, not philosophical; a practical manual, not a treatise upon theories. It is intended for the men and women whose most pressing need is for money; who wish to get rich first, and philosophize afterward. It is for those who have, so far, found neither the time, the means, nor the opportunity to go deeply into the study of metaphysics, but who want results and who are willing to take the conclusions of science as a basis for action, without going into all the processes by which those conclusions were reached.

Summary
Zig Ziglar may be the master motivator, Mark Victor Hansen of Chicken Soup for the Soul the master storyteller; Anthony Robbins may be the guru of personal development, but Bob Proctor is the master thinker. When it comes to systematizing life, no one else can touch him. He is simply the best. Bob Proctor collects thoughts like Imelda Marcos used to collect shoes. He strings them together in exquisite arrays, one thought leading logically to the next until a whole method has been constructed.
In You Were Born Rich, Bob Proctor has done it again, this time taking you step by step to the surprising discovery that success is not always reaching out for something that you don't have but rather only reaching over and rearranging the pieces already there. The great value of this audiobook is that you can instantly apply the conclusions to your own life. It will begin to impact you long before you reach the last chapter.

Loved This!
This is the best book on the law of attraction and abundance mindset that I’ve read. If you are into LoA then don’t hesitate to buy this book. It’s actually a recorded seminar they held many years ago but the content is still very relevant. These are my favourite excerpts:
- When you get the feeling you can’t do something it’s a reflection of your conditioning and not a reflection of your potential. -
- The power is always with you. It’s just a matter of learning how to direct it. -
- We have a self image problem. Our self image sets the boundaries of performance in every area of our life. We act, behave and feel according to what we consider our self image to be. This is our stumbling block. -
- We don’t get what we want but we do get what we are. -
- You will either step forward into growth or step back into safety. -
- Let’s us not look back in anger nor forward in fear but around us in awareness. -
It also includes a recorded meditation by Bob as the final chapter. I’ll definitely be listening to it again and again!

Deceptive repetitive with an dodgy agenda
Honestly do not waste your time or money on this. I couldnt bear this after 3 hours.
First of all its not an audiobook but rather live recordings from seminars. The sound quality is terrible and the speakers are literally shouting the whole way through. Secondly this is another book peddling new age/occultic ideologies/beliefs. I wasnt looking for a 'religious' book just practical information. What you get instead is generalized ideas, pseudoscience, psuedo mathematics and stuff thats already been written by people like Brian Tracy and other followers of Madam Blavatsky (they all mention her at some point as the greatest mystic or whatever). What was actually insulting was the misquoting of bible scriptures and historical figures! At first I just thought it was a mistake here and there but after 8 misquotes and in particular misquoting EINSTEIN I concluded that this was deliberate. They know their audience and demographic will never search the origins of a quote even with google (Sorry if you are a typical western world male with very loose knowledge of other cultures and even the Bible) However Im the type of person who will go and look it up and make sure it was Socrates, Plato or Jesus who said it. For me it is as much about the character and integrity of the author as it is about the the content. So my conclusion is that they have an agenda and I wont be brainwashed.

Disappointed at two things
The book is great! Bob gives amazing tips on how to change our old thinking. The explanations he shares about the smallest things in our ways are simple but wow. I am so doing the exercises he's advised.
The reasons I'm giving it a 4 star are:
1. Since the book was a live seminar, the notebook that attendees had wasn't provided as a downloadable PDF format. I was in the clouds when he referred to what pages to go and gave instructions on it.
2. The relaxation exercise could have used relaxation music on the background. I was at all times distracted at Bob's swallowing every time he spoke on this exercise, and his breathing sounds were just too weird. It didn't work for me. I even used headphones to concentrate better, but nothing.
The instructions on it were a little inconsistent (room of images and going up in the elevator) and not very detailed for a beginner like me. Don't get me wrong, I loved everything else, but the relaxation exercise definitely NEEDS FO BE CHANGED.

Review by @taratodaylive FB and @tarapannell on twitter
the book was very engaging and I had no problem getting through it as I was irritated when I needed to step away from it to do other things. Because the book was read by the author it was lively and entertaining . The lessons in this book are invaluable and I am so happy we have access to Bob Proctor, material. This has been life changing for me. Thank you, I couldn't ask for more for my few dollars spent on this .

I have listened to this book 3 times through and certain sections countless times (from chapter 9 on I have lost count on how many repeat times I have listened). It's decent. Eat the meat, spit out the bones.
First and foremost it's important to note a few things before buying. This is not the book, which I knew and was fine with, but you may not know... it's a seminar about the book, and without the guidebook Proctor refers to throughout the audio, you will feel a little bit left out. It's also a very dated seminar. This audio is old and it shows. It's a little cheesy at times, and not all speakers featured here are Bob Proctor. There's also a guy named John who seems nice enough but his voice cadence is terrible and a bit condescending, which can be annoying. With all that said, there is definite substance here, and important information to gain, if you can tolerate the things already mentioned. This material is good as a supplement to other books on this topic, but it's not going to be THE ONE for you, I don't think. It's one of those things you have to "eat the meat and spit out the bones." I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone, but it's not a total loss. I made it to the end no problem... it just wasn't "amazing." I love Proctor but there are plenty of other audios of his that are much better than this.
