Everything written in this book makes sense

I haven't tried every pose yet but found the precautions and tips listed with each to be helpful. I work with several people that practice yoga and have been invited to join many times. I think I will feel much more comfortable trying it out home with the help of this book.

Everybody should listen to this book!

There is a lot of helpful information in the back of the book such as a yoga pose library, making them easy to find within the book if you're looking for a specific one. There is also a glossary to help with the meanings of all the different yoga jargon you'll be seeing throughout this book.

Good info

The meditations were really relaxing and helped me feel less stressed and relaxed when I was done. It even gives you nutritional information to help you learn to eat better. This book is so easy to understand and was a great help for someone just learning about yoga. I now love incorporating yoga into my exercise regimen.

I listen this book so truly

I found this to be the best meditation that I have found that is to the point and don't have me feeling overwhelmed in the end. I know I could sit down and do any one or all of the five with no problems on knowing how to do each meditation. I really want to learn how to make my own yoga sequence and this book had a really good breakdown making me feel more confident in being able to accomplish this on my own.

Very helpful and useful audio.

I have always heard how yoga was not only good for your body but it is good for your mind too. I am a bigger woman so I was scared to try it for fear I would fall over trying to do some of the moves. Yoga for Beginners helped me to learn that even people my size are able to do yoga.

This is a very easy and clear book

If you are looking to start yoga this is a great resource book. It is packed full of great information on the history, poses, how to eat, meditation, and making sequences. The author is direct without any added fluff. It is really a KISS (keep it simple stupid) book for people looking to expand their knowledge of yoga. I have been practicing yoga for about a year now and found a lot of useful information in this book.

This is absolutely the best one

With different poses to get you started, you are sure to learn a lot and like me, I am now looking to grow my yoga knowledge since I am feeling more comfortable and can anticipate the poses I may encounter when I rejoin that class with the hubby!

A good starting point.

I've actually used the poses I learned in this book as a way to decompress after work and to stretch after working out and love that when I am doing these myself, I don't have to worry about looking silly or someone judging me, because it is just me and the book!

Perfect for Beginners

This book appears to be a great resource for either the beginner or experienced. The beginning discusses the practice of yoga. This is followed by various yoga poses with detailed instructions and diagrams. With each pose is an explanation of the effect on your body and tips.

powerful mindset.

If you want to learn Yoga I really recommend this book. Really easy to learn with simple steps and instructions. Shows you the poses for beginners with illustrations for easy and fast learning. Tells you the definition of Yoga, a brief history, styles of Yoga and what Yoga can bring to your life. I really enjoy this book because I always wanted to learn Yoga.

Yoga for Beginners

I found this book to be very informative and a great resource. As someone who was unfamiliar with yoga, I appreciated the details and background information. The accompanying pdf file was also very helpful.

The narrators voice was calming and very easy to listen to. Perfect for this type of book.

Five Stars!

If you have any interest in yoga this book is for you. This book is about Yoga and not about religious and social related views on yoga. As a beginner this book will get you right with mind and body, and with that you will reap the rewards of flexibility, weigh loss and many other attributes that coincide with yoga. I was very interested in learning more about this unique form of exercise. Highly recommended!

This audio book is really awesome!

This is a clear presentation of text and illustrations, respectful of yoga practice and traditions as well as the beginner to yoga. While I am not exactly a beginner, I am a seeker of information and insight and this book offers both in a very accessible way.

This audio book is really awesome!

I especially like on the pose pages that it has little precautions. On certain poses the author lets you know if you have lower back pain or pain in specific areas to bend your knees or do other certain things. The book just makes you feel completely in control and makes sure that you can easily do every pose at your own pace without hurting yourself which is exactly what I have been looking for because I do have arthritis in my spine.

Great Tips

"Positive Thinking Meditation"

I learned so much from this book I was shortly writing my own Sequences. Lots of info on yoga itself and the pictures of poses had instructions on how to get there, plus a picture glossary. Great book for a novice like me. I use it all the time.

An excellent book for beginners!

I love this book. I used it while learning to do yoga on my own and it was very helpful and descriptive. I still use it and glad a purchase this book. I still like going to yoga classes, but this book it great for when you can’t and may not remember all the yoga moves from class.
