Well this was not what I was expecting!! The start caught me straight away and I knew I was going to enjoy where this story was going to go. What it didn’t prepare me for was the little twists which I thought I had an idea but 😱 I didn’t and that makes me love it even more :)

It’s been a long time since I’ve read Aly Martinez and I have loved listening to this audio Christian Fox & Andi Arendt were perfect for this colab. Can’t wait to listen to book 2!!

Written With Regret (The Regret Duet #1) is brilliant. It’s filled with heartbreak, tragedy, friendship and love. The storyline had me rapt from the start with fantastic characters, twists , turns, and the laugh out loud funny and cute exchanges between Caven and his daughter. It’s perfection! I can’t wait to start book 2.

I was rapt throughout!

Caven and Hadley have a bond from a terrible day that occurred when they were younger. Years later the way meet again which results in a one night stand and a baby daughter. Hadley has been destroyed by that terrible day and does the unthinkable and leaves her baby with Caven. Years later she returns and wants in on her daughters life but Caven feels different. This is the story of Hadley mending fences with Caven and learning about her daughter but can they stop from falling in love. Did not see that twist of an ending coming how will Caven deal with the lies wow. Loved this book one of the duet and can not wait to see how their love story ends. Great narration by Andi Arndt and Christian Fox.

I did end up finishing and enjoying this book, however I did feel it dragged out a bit considering not much actually happened. Also didn't realise i'd be left on a cliff hanger! Likable characters, although the voice actors voices can get a bit jarring. Overall, liked the story and will be listening to the second one.
