Have you ever wondered what happens when you die? If there is a God? And did he ever have a plan for the world?

When committed rationalist and atheist, Ralph, dies on his honeymoon he discovers, much to his unhappy surprise, the answers to all of these questions.

He finds himself on a cloud and working for a God who is very unhappy that his plan for the world has all gone horribly wrong. And if Ralph is ever going to make it through the pearly gates to enjoy an afterlife with his late (but still much loved) bride, he has to go back and fix the world.

A very tongue-in-cheek satirical take on religion, belief and petty office politics, this sitcom is bursting with imaginative, fresh writing.

With added dodos....

Would like to hear more of the story. Very good set up for a series and a few very funny lines.

Nice idea

This sounds a lot like an "Old Harry's Game" rip off, but I like "Old Harry's Game", so that's OK! This was my favourite of the pilots, because it was funny and the idea seemed to offer a starting point for more episodes.

Has potential

Funny in parts, somewhere between satire and slapstick. Promising characters with lots of possibilities for development

Interesting concept

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Ok, I've tried to listen to this twice now and it just doesn't work. Neither script or characters stand out.

What could Rob Sears and Tom Sears have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The idea, if not original is ok but the script couldn't keep my attention. I'd go back to the drawing board on this one

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrators’s performances?

Not sure if I would listen to a follow up. Like the Dodo, it should rest in peace.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Special thanks to The Big Man for at least bringing the odd smile
