After many months of scavaging through thrift stores, retail stores and the internet, I had it! The inconceivible. A all in one no nonsense guide to Craftsman ship. A clear and detailed volume for the novice wanting to join the Masters! In my must own collection.

Helpful source.

I'm a complete novice woodworker, and this audio book not only gives me the basics, but I believe it will continue to be a resource as I learn and grow. It tells you all about different types of wood, explains hand and power tools, describes techniques, and has some basic plans.

Very good.

This audio book is "complete" in scope and detailed enough. I would recommend it to anyone starting out in woodworking. It is encyclopedic but not an end-all reference. It is a great reference which provides enough information on just about everything you would need to know about woodworking to get started and guide further research.

Awesome!

Overall I like this audio book. For a beginner, this is a great book that explains many concepts about woodworking. I especially enjoyed the wood bending techniques explained in the book. It is a great reference for the properties of different species of wood, joinery techniques, and tools.

Very well organized and inclusive.

Introductions to types of wood and purpose of each, tools, and woodworking techniques.
I'm just getting started in woodworking, and this book serves as an excellent reference guide for design ideas and techniques.
Well worth the price.

met expectaions

Saw this book at a local woodworkers store for list price. $19.95 was just a little too high. Purchased used through Amazon for half that price. Just a little disappointed that the cover was folded, but was not bad. Couple of pages were dog-eared, but that is OK too. I was not looking for a brand new book so I am very satisfied with the condition.

not easy

Very well put together and illustrated book. Each plan is very thorough. They are not easy though. Most plans require bandsaw or scrollsaw work with some being VERY intricate.

Great book for a parent at any skill level with a child interested in wood working. I will be teaching woodworking at a school for the arts. I picked out 10 projects from this book. Great pictures and plans, and inspiration for other projects.
