This is a worthy final story in the Wolf brother series - warm, exciting and completely satisfying. Ian McKellen’s reading is as perfect as ever. I’m very sad that the series has ended …

I’ve been reading and re-reading, and listening and re-listening to these books since I was 10 years old. I’m now 23 and it’s all finally over. My favourite book series of all time and my go-to recommendation. My escape. Thank you Michelle and Ian for such a wonderful 13 years, it’s been an absolute joy. I’ll now continue my crying over the end of an era.

Feels like saying goodbye to a loved-one. A beautiful sadness.

Wonderful story and perfect performance! I enjoyed every second of this final book in the series. The author's notes that follow the story and the addition of a conversation between author and narrator hint at the depth of research behind the world of Torak and Wolf. Be sure to read all the books in this series!

I dont think I'll ever tire of these books. Paver's characters are just so wonderful and the stories so gripping. She has clearly done a lot of research into these times and the details make it come to life and make you want to be there to see it for yourself. What can you say about Ian McKellen's narration. His voice is wonderful at any time but reading these books has been a delight to listen to, especially how he reads Wolf. There is a treat at the end with an interview with Paver and McKellen.
