Summary

Lily Locke has barely had time to sink into her role as the Isle's newest Mixologist when a series of events sends her world spiraling out of control. Her vampire cousin is overtaken by a serious bout of blood intolerance issues, and the key ingredient for the antidote is missing. Meanwhile, Zin is training day and night under the watchful eye of Grandma Hettie to break into the elite, male-dominated world of the Ranger security force, but it's a constant uphill battle. Then, Ranger X turns Lily's world upside down when he breaks the longstanding rules of the island and throws both her heart and her head into a tailspin.

Hooded strangers, dangerous potions, and a budding romance threaten to ruin all that Lily's worked to achieve. Add in a stolen spell book, and Lily's barely able to hold her head above water. When a body turns up on the beach, Lily must catch the murderer before a true battle begins.

Harder to catch

It took a while to stick being 'into the book' then the author finally got their groove back.

enjoyed the story

very good story. like the dark forest scenes in particular. the narrator is good just wish there was a bit more dynamic between characters and emotional variation in the dialogue.

Witchy Sour

I loved hearing more about Lily's time on the island. The first book in this series was good and I really enjoyed getting the into to magic. This book though just throws you into it all and there's so much going on that it is all exciting. I loved all the twists that this story took and I can't wait to continue bring shocked and excited by this series.

FUN & FUNNY

WITCHY SOUR is the second book in the Magic and Mixology series. They do need to be read in the order of release. There isn’t anything about this book that I don’t love! Family, friends, mystery, romance, ups, downs, twists, and turns. It was fun. It was funny. It was romantic and it was suspenseful. The author writes at a pace that kept me captivated and glued to the steering wheel as I listened. The dialogue is clever with a lot of sass, sarcasm, and a bit snark (which I love). The mystery is well plotted and kept me guessing. Plus the witchy elements (along with the other supernaturals) had me smiling, nodding, and giggling with delight. I have loved listening to this series so far and will continue to purchase episodes as long as I have an Audible membership. Title: WITCHY SOUR Series: Magic and Mixology #2 Category /Genre: Cozy Mystery, Paranormal Recommended for: PG13 Listenability: OK for ears Received from: Audible.com purchase

Won't leave you sour!

Despite the title, this book will not leave a sour taste in your mouth. It's a fun listen, has lots of twists, and more romance than the first book. I can't wait to find out what happens next on the Isle!

Crappy narrator...

I have never experience such soul sucking narration! Just the sound of this woman's voice is enough to send me tail spinning into the abyss of absolute despair and/or homicidal rage. I have no idea what the story was about as I had to turn off my iPod in order to preserve my life and save the universe from the vocal entropy threatening all I hold dear...
