Story
Stuck with Alan's ghost following her around, Bree is in hot water now with no easy way out as she's been framed for his murder and plunked in the local pokey. If that weren't bad enough, Gran's ghost has been kidnapped, and all clues point to the Big Easy - New Orleans. With the police on her never-mind-the-size butt, two men vying for her attentions, and a mystery wrapped around the murder of her Gran and ex, she has more than enough to keep her stressed and turning prematurely gray.

Story
"Happily Ever After" wasn't supposed to come with a do-over option. But when my husband of 20 years packs up and heads for greener pastures, and my son heads away to college, that's exactly what my midlife becomes. A do-over. This time, though, I plan to do things differently. Age is just a number, after all, and at 40 I'm ready to carve my own path. Eager for a fresh start, I make a somewhat unorthodox decision and move to a tiny town in the Sierra foothills.

Story
When it rains, it pours...and sometimes love finds you even when you can’t find yourself. Fate has given me a second chance at the happiness I once knew in the odd Southern town of Grimm Cove. But only if I can come to terms with some rather eye-opening revelations. Supernaturals are a real thing. I'm a witch. My high school sweetheart, who happens to be the Chief of Police in Grimm Cove, is my fated mate and a wolf-shifter. Ghosts exist and can be very nosy and meddlesome. Someone is murdering witches left and right.

Robin Brannon was a normal wife, mom, and antique shop owner until a brush with death turned her day-to-day life upside down. Now, she and her two best friends are seeing things that belong in a fantasy novel. Ghosts. Visions. Omens of doom. Nothing that belongs in the peaceful mountain town they call home. Added to that, Robin's marriage is on the rocks, her grandmother's health is failing, her mother is driving away the customers at her shop, her teenage daughter refuses to get her driver's license, and her left knee aches every darn morning.

Ousted from the Hollows Group, the shadow world has officially taken notice of me. With loan sharks sniffing around and knocking on my door, I need to figure out how my ex-husband pushed all his debt onto me, because it stinks of black magic and back-alley dealings. Until I can get some answers there, I distract myself with a new job - working for a goblin. The job is as simple as hiding some paperwork for him. Only...someone else wants what he gave me. And they are playing dangerously dirty to get what they want.

The day after my 43rd birthday, my husband announced he was trading me in - his words, not mine. The news was unwelcome at the time, but honestly? I needed a good goosing to get up and find my way to the door. So I was freed from the giant manual of expectations authored by my ex. That was the good news. The flip side was less happy. Due to living in a state not friendly to discarded wives, I was also relieved of the financial "security" I'd spent a lifetime accruing.

It was a day like any other day for Marina Trahan...until she caught her husband in bed with another woman. Before that eye-opening wake-up call, Marina would have described her life as average or uneventful, maybe even boring. But now, chaos and confusion reign supreme. She’d expected to slide through midlife with her unwanted extra pounds, chin hair, and hot flashes and move somewhat gracefully into elastic-waist pants and having no verbal filter.

Shadowvale isn’t typical small-town America. The sun never shines, the gates decide who enters, magic abounds, and every resident bears some kind of curse. No one knows this as well as raven shifter Deacon Evermore, who, like everyone in his family, has a curse. While his position as Shadowvale’s peacekeeper lets him use that curse for good, he’d rather live anywhere else. He stays for his family but doubts he can last much longer.

Summary
A paranormal women's fiction with a bit of class, and a lot of sass, for anyone who feels like age is just a number!
Welcome to Premonition Pointe, where witches take care of their own.
Grace Valentine had the perfect marriage and a great career managing her husband’s real estate office. Or so she thought until three months ago when she was served with divorce papers. Thanks to her philandering ex, not only is she out of a husband, she’s out of a job, too.
At the age of 45 with the help of her coven, Grace is ready to pick up the pieces and move on. But her only job prospect is at the rival real estate office, and it’s only for a trial run. She’ll need to prove that she can sell the haunted properties of Premonition Pointe before she’s hired permanently.
But who has time to deal with haunted houses when she’s testing out every anti-perspirant on the market to combat her escalating hot flashes, trying not to succumb to the advances of the hot 34-year-old in her office, and ignoring the urges to hex her ex with erectile disfunction? Okay, maybe she doesn’t ignore the urges. She might be a witch, but she’s only human. Can Grace prove to herself and her new boss she has the magical touch to sell the impossible and find the courage get her groove back...even if her new love interest is a decade younger?

Mild supernatural romance, mediocre narration.
This is a simple romance with witchy elements and a little family drama. The story doesn’t really build and the stakes never get very high so it’s all a bit tepid. The narration is okay, this narrator isn’t very good at male voices, they all sound the same and are kind of gritty but nerdy, not the best fit for the genre.

Amazing 1st in series PWF
I love this new genre. Grace is amazing, starting over after her divorce, she finds her wishes coming true and a job perfectly suited for her. I also love the closeness of her friends and the typical family drama. This was a fun story and I cannot wait for more in the series.

Chase's Best Book Yet!
I’ve read several of Chase’s series before, so I had high hopes for this PWF book, and she did NOT disappoint! This story was similar to the Witches of Keating Hollow series, but with much more humor, realism, and fire behind it. I groaned a bit when I read the three witches in their coven are Grace, Joy, and Hope, but thankfully not everyone has cliché names. Because of The WOKH series, I was expecting them to be sisters with such similar names, but they’re just besties that complement each other well in their coven. The WOKH series also has a Hope, so I do wish she had chosen another powerful but descriptive name for her, but the differences in the series’ was enough that I didn’t get caught up on it. The humor wasn’t a dash here or there either. There were a few times where some hilarious scenes were developed which hooked me even more than normal. Grace starts as a wallowing, broken woman who is traumatized by the dissolution of her 20 year marriage, and grows into a powerful, inspiring witch with integrity, grit, and passion to fight for those who need her most. The pitfalls of getting older are aired out for everyone to read without hiding anything, but Grace doesn’t wallow about it. She embraces it, holding her head high and moves on to find the positive things in her life. The magical aspect of these witches was greatly increased which I loved. The fact she accidently hexes those who cross her is hilarious and endearing. I found her communication issues with Owen to be welcome as well. It really adds a sense of reality to the story to show she too isn’t perfect at everything she tries to be. As with the WOKH series, the final chapter is told by the character that will be highlighted in the next book of the series and sets the scene up nicely. I really can’t stress enough how much I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next one! It’s the best of Chase’s books yet!

I would highly recommend this book
This book was fantastic. The story of an amazing middle aged women, Grace, who finds herself after a horrible divorce. Who doesn’t love a book about women finding their inner power, finding love, and having amazing supportive friends. Deanna Chase creates such amazing characters and worlds that you cannot help but to become emotionally invested in their stories and fall in love with them. I am very impatiently waiting for the next book in this series, I am so excited to see what happens next.

not a very good story
This was my first book by this author and will be my last. I only bought it because of the reviews, but the reviews were mistaken. This book is pretty much every social dysfunction rolled into some sort of a lackluster story lines. The conversations ramble, the characters are flat and emotionless, and the ending was so boring that I fell asleep.

Awesome!
My new favorite series by Deanna Chase! I love Grace! She is a strong, funny, intelligent woman trying to make her life her own again. Grace is dealing with a cheating ex, starting a new job, unintentional curses, aging problems and a gorgeous, younger man who wants Grace as she is. This book made me laugh, ache, sympathize, cheer, and sigh with relief as Grace found what she wanted and deserved in life. Looking forward to hearing Hope's story!

Great concept but it stops there
I love the concept for the story but it starts really slow and just never really gets off the ground. I don’t feel like there is much depth to the characters. There is a lot of talk about sex but the sex jokes aren’t all that funny. How does the gay niece and her lover even really fit into the story? I could have lived without both characters snd not noticed the loss

Paranormal Women's Ficton
Venturing into a new genre with a focus on older women in the lead roles, paranormal women's ficton only makes sense for Deanna Chase. Premonition Pointe is the latest series, focusing on a second chance for Grace after being served divorce papers. Even if this second chance involves a man ten years her junior. But underneath the romance, is a bond of friendship amongst 3 women in their forties, each with their own set of problems to overcome. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Witching for Grace provided by the author.

A bottle of wine, some good friends, and hot heels
How does any woman get through a tough time in life? A bottle of wine, some good friends, and a hot pair of high heels! I can't stop listening to this one! Grace's story keeps you wanting more. Starting your life over isn't an easy task, but Grace handles it all and finds more than she ever expected! Fingers crossed for Hope and Joy! I'm anticipating so much more for those two ladies!

Witching for more
I love Gabra Zackman’s performance of this book. I love the Friends working together, and the way this story plays out. Can hardly wait for the next installment. Curses and blessings....
