It would seem the strength gained from my trauma has allowed me once again, open my arms to the Goddess and to release my tears in to her embrace.

After living in Australia for over 20 years, I now realise that it is no coincidence on returning to the UK I find myself living a hop, skip and a jump from Burley in the New Forest, South West England .

Here I came across this book, Witch, but I dececided at first to listen to the audio version. In less than 24 hours I had listened to the entire book and purchased a printed version for reference and to read at leisure and most likely annotate.

If I could give only one gift to my two young adult daughters it would be this book.

I bought the audiobook which was read well by the author but I'd recommend a paper or digital copy as there are many recipes, rituals and lists and so would be handy for reference. I'd never read about witches before and this was quite a comprehensive overview. The history of the gender-cide was eye-opening, sobering. The meanings assigned to oils, stones and seasons (and more) were soothing and interesting. If you're interested in knowing more about what a witch is (and was), the different types and how to incorporate any practices into your life, I'd definitely recommend this.
