As a college student, I spend my days in class and my evenings selling sage to PTA moms who do moon rituals to manifest better parking spaces. My best friend is a cat who likes pizza, and a “night out” includes hand delivering mysterious packages to the local “coven” of small business owners who repeatedly invite me to their meetings - clothing optional. My life is weird. But it’s not magic. Magic isn’t real. At least, that’s what I believed - right up until the moment he walks into my store.

She's clanless, looking for a warlock who isn't offended by her lack of family connections, and in danger of losing her job if she can't find the eight escaped trolls before they start eating the local residents. Trolls, angry police, and misbehaving spells are the least of her problems. Statues attacking homeowners might be problematic for your average witch, but to Michelle it's another day at the office.

I stopped believing in monsters long ago. But I knew I wasn't imagining things when I found one in my kitchen baking muffins. I'd seen him before: lurking in my closet, scaring the crap out of my five-year-old self. Turns out that was a misunderstanding, and now Maurice needs a place to stay. How could I say no? After all, I've always been a magnet for the emotionally needy, and not just in my work as a wedding planner. Being able to sense the feelings of others can be a major pain.

An entertaining Urban Fantasy
- By Inishowen Cailin on 26-10-20
Summary
A small town with big secrets. A neighbor who bites. A librarian who can shoot blue lightning from her hands. Plus a house with a mind of its own. Welcome to Wisteria.
Dive into the hit series that has urban fantasy and witch mystery fans hooked!
Wisteria Witches
Zara Riddle moved to a small town, so her life could be quiet and safe. But now that her witch powers have kicked in, life is anything but. Long-lost relatives are coming out of the woodwork, and it turns out the family tree is riddled with magic.
When a ghost shows up, Zara finds out her spirit-charmed powers come with a cost. She must solve the woman's murder. Zara teams up with her handsome neighbor, a wolf shifter who's both mysterious and perfect. Maybe too perfect? He did save her life during a vicious attack, but some strange coincidences have Zara second-guessing her alliances.
The town of Wisteria may be quaint on the surface, but danger lurks around every corner. To protect her family, Zara must risk her heart and her life. Forces of good and evil will face off in a battle where one side has a secret advantage.
One thing's for sure: Zara Riddle is keeping these new powers, blue lightning balls and all.
Once you go witch, you never switch.
Wicked Wisteria
Zara Riddle moved to Wisteria for a quiet life. Instead, she got ghosts, demon birds, shifters, and even gorgons.
When mysterious forces erase words from the town's books, Zara conjures a magical creature to restore the text. But magic has a mind of its own, and magical creatures love trouble. Pretty soon, the bodies start piling up.
Now Zara must face whoever (or whatever) is behind a dark plot to destroy everything she loves. This time the fight will be tougher than ever. After all, it's hard to battle the forces of evil when you're dead.
Wisteria Wonders
Zara Riddle needs to crack open one more big secret.
Chet Moore, the moody shifter who lives next door, has been running hot and cold like a broken faucet ever since they met. Zara finally resorts to magic to get the truth out of him. It turns out her instincts were right. Chet has been hiding something, and it's a doozy.
Now Chet wants Zara's help with an intensely personal mission. He wants her to track down a lost soul and solve a cold case - a strange and violent case that powerful entities would rather keep buried. Diving in will put them both in danger.
Zara tries to be a good witch. Zara should push aside her feelings and help the lost soul, but...it's so hard to do the right thing sometimes. Zara might be one crafty witch, but she's still a woman.
When the shocking truth is finally unveiled, not everyone is going to get out alive. With this mission, the only thing worse than failing is succeeding.
Critic reviews
"It's thrilling! It's funny! And it won't leave you in agonizing pain (except, possibly, from laughter)." (Robert J. Crane, author of the best-selling Girl in the Box series)

Disappointingly illogical
The romance is the worst sort of nausiatingly trite fall-in-love-at-first-sight-he's-obviously-manipluating-me-into giving-him-information-while-not-giving-any-in-return-but-he's-so-attractive-I-won't-question-it variety - BLEURGH!
A woman moves to a new town, finds her long lost aunt is a resident, she's been manipluated ito moving there, the unbelievably low-priced "bargain" house she has bought belonged to the hot guy next door (who just happens to be an old fan of her online blog from fifteen ears ago), she's being drip-fed information, told what to do, and nobody is giving her any details about the reasons...
And she just meekly stays and does what they're telling her.
She makes no attempt to dig in her heels and refuse to cooperate until she's told what is going on.
She makes no attempts to get the hell out of town ("they" want her there for a reason, she has leverage!).
Then she's drugged by her aunt, and instead of bitch-slapping the aunt into next week, she just accepts it. Her blind acceptance is, however, explained away later by the fact she actually has no sense of right and wrong and goes on to drug a co-worker herself.
Sadly the main protagonist is a moron who doesn't stick up for herself, can't see what's going on around her, and has decidedly questionable morals. None of them attractive traits in such a prominent character.
I realize that fantasy storylines require the suspense of disbelief, but this one needs you to hang it by the neck until dead. It doesn't make sense and without that there's no believable hook for the storyline to hang on.

Great fun!
Book 1
A great introduction to the series!
Wisteria Witches is very entertaining and funny. Zara is a really quirky character with no end of wise cracks as she gets into one sticky situation after another. Her daughter is a very likeable teen and I loved their mother daughter relationship.
The townspeople are also very engaging and the mysterious! There are more than witches residing in Wisteria starting with her very good looking next door neighbour!
Book 2
A very entertaining follow up to Wisteria Witches #1 and it's just as funny as the first book. In this story Zara is more attuned to her witchy ways and how her magic makes specifically affects her. She gets involved in some ghostly investigations and manages to get into more than a few scrapes along the way. Her family, neighbours and friends are never far way from all the chaos. There is scope for a little bit of romance so I'm looking forward to seeing how that develops.
Book 3
There is a subplot running through these first three stories and this book ties it all together very nicely. We get to know Chet better and all the secrets he's been keeping. We understand Zara's power and the reason why she was so drawn to Wisteria.
This was my favourite book of the three. I've always liked Frank but imagining him as a flamingo was very funny.
I'm still loving the banter and flirting between Zara and the detective so I'm definitely watching that space!
All three books were very entertaining and I look forward to listening to the rest of the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reading audio copy.

Incredible Books!!!
The first thing that struck me about these books from the very beginning was the humour. These books are laugh out loud hilarious. I have been listening in public places, burst out laughing, and people get some amusement staring at me.
I love the mother/daughter relationship in these books. Very much a relationship you would see in Gilmore Girls. Zora and Zoey have this beautiful balance between them. Zora and Zoey definetly look our for each other and have the others back. They also both love their coffee. Zora has diarrhea of the mouth much like Lorelei. She just keeps talking. I find it endearing. Zora and Zoey also sit and make up the most ridiculous theories just like Lorelai and Rori. If you love the mother daughter relationship in Gilmore girls and nice witches you will fall in love with these characters almost instantly.
You also meet Chet (I am not sure about spelling) and his son Corbin. Both also very endearing just for different reasons. You will also meet Crazy Aunt Z and a cast of other characters. These are mysteries. Don't want to give too much away.
I do like that you are introduced to the characters slowly. You get to really know them before moving on to another and it makes it easier to keep track of everyone.
I love that Zora is a librarian. I love that at the library she starts to work out in Book 1 that they have a place called The Grumpy Corner.
You feel transported into the story with these characters and instantly want to be their friends. I have recommended these books to several friends already. I cannot wait to continue on with the series. I know when I finish the series I will continue to revisit this cast of characters and their town. This is also a great deal of three books in one. Tiffany Williams does an amazing job with this narration. Voices are clear and she speaks at a perfect pace.

Gilmore Girls Meets the Dresden Files
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
Angela Pepper is a breath of fresh air! With three full novels in this bundle you get an excellent start to this series which will leave you hungry for more.
I immediately fell in love with the witty, quirky and relatable main characters but was pleasantly surprised that the small town residents who I thought might just be one note caricatures were fleshed out and developed as the series progressed.
Things take a turn for the supernatural and each novel is about a mystery connected to a spirit. The stories dovetail between Zara’sd daily life with her teenage daughter, estranged aunt and hunky neighbor, researching mysteries and learning about her newfound witch powers and it’s all engrossing.
Each story leads into the next and the third explores more of the past, enriches the complexity of certain character relationships and starts shedding light on conspiracies. It felt like an epic conclusion to this package that leaves me wanting the next volume now.
The narrator does a wonderful life breathing life into already lively characters – affecting voices and delivering witty banter so well she makes it sound easy.
If you like humor, heart, paranormal mysteries, small town living or just plain fun, light reading then you’re in the right place.

If you’re looking for a great cozy mystery series, look no further. This box set contains the first 3 books in the Wisteria Witches Mysteries series, and they are fantastic!
I love the quirky characters. The dialogue had me giggling throughout. The mysteries were interesting and kept me guessing. Each book does come to a conclusion, but they also build on each other. I love seeing how the characters continue to grow. I will definitely be continuing on with this series!
Tiffany Williams did a fantastic job with the narration. Her timing and pacing really enhanced the story. A true professional.

Quirky
These three books were a fun listen. The narration was excellent and the story was engaging. There is action and suspense along with the snark and comedy. There were some parts in the first book where the audio volume was a bit wonky but it may have been my player or a glitch when it downloaded. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Not my kind of characters.
I was repeatedly disappointed in the characters. They were annoying, childish, failed to redeem or grow in their arcs. I don’t plan on spending any more time with them.

Whimsical Mystery
There should be several categories under "Mystery" in the library. These books would be in the "Mystery: Whimsical Characters" section. I love this type of mystery when it is well written and Angela Pepper delivers! Tiffany Williams has a delightful voice that fits the stories to a tee.
