Winning

I loved the book. The idea that will stay with me is to stop acting like a victim. Candor and a can do attitude is what takes you through though times!

Good though might not be 100% relevant

I'm a VP at a small fast growing tech company. I've worked in corporates too.

I enjoyed Jack's autobiography- it gave me real insight into how a CEO of a complex business like GE thinks.

This book had some lessons that are equally relevant to whatever your role. Recruitment has always been a subject I think Jack excels at and he explains his methods well. Mergers and acquisitions were interesting to me though unlikely to apply - fascinating though.

Some opinions and best practices might not be all that relevant but it still makes a good read.

Tips for Winning, in business and perhaps life

Would you consider the audio edition of Winning to be better than the print version?

I would not say that this is better than the print version, however is a great addition. As it really compliments the print version really well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jack Welch who is at the heart of this. It is about his views on winning, so intrinsically he is at the heart of this

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I think it was the overall essence of book ...which is a simple concept around winning. I personally like how well it is structured. It is simple and easy to understand.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The section on leadership and how to work though difficult times, like working for a bad boss.

Any additional comments?

It is a good book that is brought to life the simplicity of some business issues. Winning is not easy there are some easy rules that one needs to follow. Overall the book was insightful and inspiring.

This is probably the best book I have listened to this year. It's a great business bible. Jam packed full of hints, tips, philosophies and advice. I've learnt so much from it that I know I will listen to this again and again 😁😁👍🏼👍🏼

Practical, needs guts to execute.

I usually do not write reviews but this review is sort of giving back. The books real & practical management guidelines. But the concept here are not wishy-wishy leaders who have illusions. This more hardline/ real approach to management not a motivational book( like good to great )
