Summary

From the internationally best-selling author of The Simple Wild comes the continuation of a woman's journey to Alaska and a life she never imagined for herself.

Calla Fletcher returns to Toronto a different person, struggling to find direction and still very much in love with the rugged bush pilot she left behind. When Jonah arrives on her doorstep with a proposition she can't dismiss, she takes the leap and rushes back to Alaska to begin their exciting future together.

But Calla soon learns that even the best intentions can lead to broken promises, and that compromise comes with a hefty price - a log cabin in rural Alaska that feels as isolating as the western tundra.

With Jonah gone more than he's home, one neighbor who insists on transforming her into a true Alaskan, and another who seems more likely to shoot her than come to her aid, Calla grapples with forging her own path. In a world with roaming wildlife that has her constantly watching over her shoulder and harsh conditions that stretch far beyond the cold, dark, winter months, just stepping outside her front door can be daunting.

This is not the future Calla had in mind, leaving her to fear that perhaps she is doomed to follow in her mother's fleeing footsteps after all.

Loved the second book it was so great to continue showing how they where different to her parents.

I loved how she overcome a new area and adjusted. I felt like we needed more interactions with her and Jonah though.

Loved the ending though and looking forward to reading the last book.

I really enjoyed the conclusion of this novel, however I do not think it is as good and magical as the first one.

I'm a sucker for any book set in Alaska and for K.A. Tucker's writing so this series is a double win for me. I liked this book in a very different way than I loved book 1. This one was a lot less emotional for me and had more about Alaska. I liked that this book picks right up where book 1 ended.
Calla & Jonah's story is sweet with some bumps along the way but they are mature and they work things out. That made me like this even more because the author told their story without the need for extra drama. I also loved all the side characters in this book. My favorite kind of side character is a grumpy old man that makes a new friend and shows his softer side. In the end book 1 had me in tears and book 2 made my heart smile.

The narration was perfect.

Horrible sequel

To put it mildly, I LOVE LOVE LOVED the first book Simple Wild! I was so excited when I found out that K.A. Tucker decided to continue Calla and Jonah’s story in this follow up novel. But this book was not only a lackluster storyline and seemingly no plot, but I hated that almost every chapter or sentence was filled with sex. The first book was so beautiful bc it was such a balance of tension, redemption and love- foreplay if you will. This book was all sex and very little love or story to keep attention. I was disappointed how KA took this seemingly beautiful storyline in this book.

❤️😭😂

K.A. Tucker did it again. You get all all the emotions with this book and I’m not even sad about it. It’s a beautiful story and I loved it.

Couldn’t stop listening! Obsessed! In love!

This second book in the series captivated me completely! She is a bit whinny but I’ve accepted that’s who she is. I love how much dialogue is in this book. Easy listen, prefect narration and characters!

Perfect!

I held back because I loved the Simple wild so much. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue Calla and Jonah’s story. But these next chapters were perfect and I’m so glad that I listened. The narrator is perfection and brought all of the characters to life! The perfect continuation of one of my favorite stories! ❤️

Underbar vildmarksromance

Another great story in the series!

I really enjoyed listening to Wild at Heart.
This story is full of emotions, real life problems and real people, noone is perfect and it makes it easier to relate to all the characters.
I already downloaded book #3 in the series to read.

Boring.

Neither the story nor the actor kept me interested. I thought it would be more about the trials of living in Alaska, but it read more like a dime store romance.

book 2 just as good as book 1

Now we need a book 3 for "THE" Wedding!!!! YES PLEASE!!!! K.A Tucker has a great way of telling a story where I feel like I'm the lead character. I feel every word she is writing as my own emotions.
