Summary

Gillian "Gem" Martin is the lead biologist at a wildlife sanctuary on the Northeast coast and head of the Wildlife Emergency Response Team called in when catastrophes, man-made or natural, threaten the endangered species she studies. Austin Germaine is a troubleshooter, the hired gun for a big oil company, whose job is to help contain leaks and prevent media coverage of a pending disaster until the danger can be eliminated. If it can be.

When Gem and Austin meet by chance in the midst of an approaching hurricane, neither expects their immediate connection to lead them into uncharted territory as wild as the looming storm. When word of the spill gets out, Gem and Austin find themselves reluctant allies in a race against time to divert the spill and save the wildlife refuge and its endangered inhabitants - all while battling an attraction as unlikely as it is powerful. A high-stakes race against time, the forces of nature, and the strongest power of all - the desire of the human heart.

Sweet story

Story was sweet, exciting, flowed well and had enough sexy times for a good balance. Narrator gave a great performance and did a great job with the voices.

Nice

Thev story was nice and predictable. For me, the story lacked anything surprising or unexpected.

Loved it

There is nothing like a love story in the middle of a storm!! This book was romantic and enticing and just enough suspense! And very well written! No abrupt ending like so many lesbian novels!

outstanding

Such a great story, the ending was a bit rushed, however it had all the things that will keep someone engaged.
A must read.

Wild Shores

Wild Shores was great, I enjoyed listening to the variation the narrator used and the book was well written. Just like all The First Responder Novels. Would love to see and listen to more first responder novels. But I will check out more books by Radclyffe.

Story/Narration Exceptional

I loved everything about this purchase. I'm newer to Radclyffe's storytelling, and I thoroughly enjoyed this and was so glad when I saw Abby Craden was narrating. Her characterization and inflection really adds to the enjoyment. Radclyffe is on my short list!

Radcyffe never stops amazing me her large knowledge of life under stress.

Again she begin with to star crossed lovers, one working for the oil company trying to stop a spill in secret that in unchecked will head straight to the largest bird preservation the other the head of the science group sent down by our government to study the largest bird migration in North America. The two happen to meet at the airport rent car when the rest of there flight is grounded and one of them gets the last car and offers to share the long ride with the other since they are going to the same place. Keeping quiet about her oil ties and telling the bird watcher all about her other secret job as a graphic artist. Which she also is, they form a bond on the drive up and share a kiss. From there they find themselves hooked regardless of there jobs. They must go through ups and downs but love will always win oil rig problems, oil, and bad weather will not stop true love.

What happened?

This book is shorter than the others. It took getting all the way to the end to figure out why it was. The book is good but I wonder why the author choose to keep the book short and not finish out many aspects of the story line. It is kind of like the last chapter or two was omitted from the book.
