Summary

Aislinn is used to living life on her terms. As an artist with an extrasensory gift, she allows her moods, and those of the natural world, to inspire her paintings for her gallery set in small town Grace's Cove. Running her business as she pleases, Aislinn has danced around serious commitments her whole life.

When Dr. Baird Delaney moves his psychiatry practice to town and stops by her shop to pick up some prints for his office, Aislinn's world tilts. Irresistibly drawn to his presence yet convinced that the uptight doctor is a poor match for her free-flowing artistic soul, Aislinn is torn. Both Aislinn and Baird will have to suspend their beliefs as they tumble headfirst into a messy, unrepentant love that challenges both to accept each other unequivocally.

Disappointed in narration

I love the Grace Cove books, read two on my Kindle and tried this one as an audio book. I'm very disappointed by the narration. She tries to speak with an Irish accent which sometimes she succeeds in but more often she doesn't. It's distracting to me so after an hour of trying I had to give up. Such a shame...

The stories as such are really good, you get sucked into the life of Aislinn, Cat and the other girls who learn to deal and live with their special gifts with help from Fiona. I don't want to give away too much. If wrong pronunciations of names and accents/dialects bother you, I wouldn't try these books. I guess I'll read the other books in the series on my Kindle.

Not as good

The previous books in this series have been pretty good. Sadly in this one the characters are poorly developed and the story line is just as poor. I will probably get the next in the series and hope it is not as underdeveloped as this one was.

in love

When you are missing Nora, Catherine and Jude and you find Tricia O'Malley and fall in love. This is such a wonderful series of books and can be read as stand alones but much more fun when binged on for the weekend.

What a disappointment!

I almost feel generous giving this title the two stars. The story is simplistic-to the point where you begin to think a junior high girl wrote it. Amy Landon's Irish accent just isn't. I felt like I was in Cockney, maybe a Mary Poppins story. And then every other chapter has the main character wanting to jump the man. Really, porn is not my style. Disappointing and I'll never get these hours back. I feel cheated that previous reviews gave it such high marks.

The Artist and the Doctor

Ash is an Artist and loves living her life by whatever whim takes her. She runs her own little gallery and specializes in art that features Grace's Cove. When she sees "Doctor Yum" as her bff Kat calls him, its lust at first sight. But can such opposites really work out?
Baird is a psychologist who wanted to leave big city life. He wants to settle down in Grace's Cove and slowly build his practice back up. The chemistry is undeniable with Aislinn, but chemistry and physical is the easy part. He wants to see if they can have more.
He is very analytical and she has her head in the clouds. He thinks in logic and science and she believes she has powers from Grace O'Malley.

Ash sees auras and is an empath. Learning from the mistakes of those closest to her, she tells Baird about her gifts as soon as it seems like more than a one night thing. However, in her case ots a matter of her gifts coming between them, bot because she kept them secret, but because she told!

I really enjoy how the books overlap slightly, the stories weaving together and look forward to the next in the series.
