I really wish romance novelists would stop writing rape scenes as plot contrivances...

& if they do, I really wish they'd research what rape really means & how it makes victims feel afterwards!

Rape is the ultimate loss of control, even very near rape... anyone who has been raped, usually finds it really hard for other people, even family, friends &/or spouses to touch them...

Absolutely no one, feels horny after a near rape... wives struggle to let their husbands touch them in even the most innocent of touches afterwards...

Yet, here we have a woman who was very nearly raped by FOUR men, feel absolutely no way about a man touching her intimately MINUTES after her near rape... WTAF?!?

Not only that, but she's so aroused by his touch not too long after she was so nearly & brutally raped...

Even worse, the man who saved her from nearly being raped makes jokes about having sex with her & she merely rolls her eyes & isn't repulsed... I ask again... WTAF?!?

Authors really should strive to speak to rape victims before they attempt to write about it or just leave the subject matter well enough alone!

Exciting listen. Well thought out plot, with good cliffhangers. Good pacing of the overall storyline.

I actually really liked this story and it's a bonus it was free. I felt connected to the characters and it was nice to see this story wasn't a cut and dry romance, but had some twists here and there that I enjoyed immensely.
