Summary
I loved him. He betrayed me.
He tried to ruin my chance of happiness, but I’m not going down so easily.
There are questions I need answered. Secrets that need to be brought into the light. And a king who needs to be taken off his throne.
I’m still the object of his obsession, but I can work around that.
They say all’s fair in love and war. But if Caleb Asher taught me anything, it’s that this is definitely not love.
What do you think, Caleb? Are you ready for one last game?
This is a dark high school bully romance with mature content and themes. It contains dubious situations that some listeners may find offensive. If you're looking for a white knight hero, this book is not for you.
Wicked Games is book two of the Fallen Royals series. It is part of a trilogy and not a stand-alone.

Caleb and Margo!
After everything that Caleb had done to Margo in the past, I wasn’t sure if redemption was ever going to be possible. Although his hurtful actions continue for part of this book, we also got to see what his life truly was like and although it didn’t make his treatment of Margo right it does make it understandable. Seeing him admit that the feelings he had for her were the farthest thing from hate is the revelation we have all been waiting for.
Margo is left trying to deal with the aftermath of Caleb’s action and setting her plan of revenge in motion. She is no longer to just accept the treatment that Caleb and his friend’s have been dishing out but she also proves that she will be there for him. With a large part of her memories missing she is determined to uncover the trust to see what set everything in motion which leads up to a cliffhanger that leaves us wondering what the future holds for this couple.
I thought that the narrators did a great job with not only the characters but with the intrigue and angst of the story as well.

Totally hooked!
S Massery has me totally hooked on this series. I can't get enough, and I can't wait until the conclusion of this trilogy is out! It's not a standalone, so if you haven't listened to book 1, go grab it! We pick up with Caleb and Margo and their very dysfunctional relationship. There is so much history between them, their families and what is showing as their future, that it's impossible to even think about separating them. Each scene leads to more suspense, more twists and turns and Massery is a master at keeping us on the edge. And then there is the curiosity of whether to love or hate Caleb! I definitely love him, but sometimes it is just too easy to hate him. He has a mean streak a mile long! And Margo has strength like no other. She is amazing. Add in her foster parents, the mean girls in school, the upcoming plans and the cliffhanger, and I am patiently awaiting the next book! Smartly written, with an incredible plot, Massery has a winning series on her hands.
Narrated by Troy Duran and Stephanie Rose, we continue with the voices we know as Caleb and Margo. I love keeping consistency and these two are professionals. Each character is easy to remember from book to book and their voices compliment each other. I am enjoying this dual narration and can't wait for book 3!

A great continuation to Caleb and Margot's story
Wicked Games continues Caleb and Margot's story following on from the cliff-hanger of Book 1. Wicked Games is full of twists and turns, some secrets begin to unfold while others become more complex. For the first half of the book Caleb and Margot's relationship is much the same as the first book, however Margot isn't blinded by Caleb's charm and the chemistry between them now. Wicked Games shows great character growth from Margot from a sheep to a Wolf(e) and I loved that Caleb's actions and secrets have given her the confidence to stand up for herself and try to find the answers so is missing.
As the Audiobook progressed I found myself trying to figure out the twists and turns that S. Massery throws our way, but needless to say I only ended up with more questions. I loved the relationship that develops between Margot, Lenora and Robert (her foster parents) they love Margot and I found the fact that she has a positive parental relationship in her life for once, very uplifting.
As for Caleb from the Man he is at the start of the book to the one he is at the end of this book is captivating. As he begins to piece things together too he shows a softness towards Margot, surprising himself he begins to care. Of course the novel ends on another cliff-hanger and I am ready to get stuck straight into book 3. Yet again Troy and Stephanie's narration was on point and I couldn't think of anyone better to read this series.

Loved this messy twisty tale. The cliff hanger!!
I have listened to this one on audio and thoroughly loved it.
Loved this messy twisty tale. Going into this book we think we have got an understanding of who Margo and Caleb are. What we quickly realise is the Margo and Caleb we have met by the end of book one is only a smidgen of who the pair are. We very quickly find out that they have more layers than onions and that what we think is happening may not be what is actually happening at all. The cliff hanger at the end of this book though! Thank goodness I'm able to dive straight into book 3.

What a read!
Wicked Games... What a read! Wicked Games left me in suspense, on the edge of my seat and made me fan myself from the steam! The story was even more intriguing than the first one and it felt more suspenseful, darker. The secrets lingered and it frustrated me not being able to access them, just like Margo. And Caleb intrigued me even more. The chemistry between Margo and Caleb was explosive, intimate. As much as there was chaos between the two, there was also a power shift, and I loved it! The story flowed incredibly, and the narrators were incredible also. The pace was good, and I thoroughly enjoyed the flashbacks, gave more depth to the story. I couldn't stop listening to it. I started yesterday after work and finished just earlier today. It was addictive, and I loved the rush of following the story, turning detective with all these clues and swooning at the sweeter moment between Margo and Caleb. I could not fault the story at all. It was addictive, dark, mysterious, suspenseful and steamy. The narrators did a fantastic job and the pace of the story was perfect. This author has become a new favourite of mine, and I cannot wait to start book three to get all the answers. I loved every single bit of it! Highly recommend it!
