Summary

main guy sounds like a surf dude
Struggling to finish this. Some of the writing just seems very scrappy and the lead male sounds so cheesy it's distracting. Not for me.

Good story - predictable - disrespects reads intelligence.
The world and story premise are interesting,
Author wants to justify all of the protagonist’s movements. Almost like it’s written for an 11year old - IT IS NOT! it is obviously aimed higher due to sexual content. Older readers are more intelligent they don’t need every thing clarified, they can infer some of it.
I may chug through the rest of the books in the hope to see how the plot develops. But I think I might need a break in between.

Brilliant!
I have read this book several times and watched Wicked on Passionflix. Love the story, and the narration was amazing. Ivy lives in New Orleans and works for the Order, who track Fownhope the Fae who take advantage of humans by draining their essence. Ren joins them from another order, but he's more than a normal Fae killer. He's after a person who can open the gates between our world and the Fae world. Things are about to get really bad. Brilliant story, and I'm off to listen to book 2.

Enjoyed! Good story, looking forward to listening to 2nd book
Overall really liked the story & characters.
Easy to listen to/ read series.
Some of the phrases in it are a little cringey in my opinion but would definitely recommend!

Loved it
I enjoyed every once of this book. It draws you in and keeps you drawn in. I love Ivy, her story is only beginning and the chemistry between her and Ren, wow! Can't wait to listen to the next book 😍

Wicked
Loved the premise of guardians of gates to the land of the Fae and that the order hunted the ones trapped here . It is also a love story of Ivy and Ren but not mushy (quite naughty and in parts sexy)
Ivy lives with Tink a brownie who she keeps a secret as the order would kill him and they have a lovely friendship even if he does have wierd cravings for dolls and sugar lol...
I would highly recommend it, it's a good listen the narrator was very easy on the ears and I can't wait for the second book Torn to be released hopefully by the end of this year fingers x'd

Discovered my love of fantasy novels
I stumbled across this book and boy am I glad I did. It didn’t take me long to finish as I couldn’t stop listening. From beginning to end, the story was captivating and deliciously good. Can’t wait to get right into the saga!!

It was ok!
The story itself was good but could have been half the length if there wasn’t so much unnecessary sex in it. Just as the story was going somewhere, BAM!… they’re at it again. I mean I get it they’re into each other, I don’t have to be reminded every other page. REN’s dialogue was extremely cheesy a lot of the time which was a big turn off for me. Saving grace, Tink the brownie! I did enjoy the idea of the story and will purchase the second book, just hoping it’s more story and less humping!

Not sure what to think
I’m really not sure what to think of this? Some bits are cheesy as hell and some are quite good, I found the character Ren to be so cheesy and it might just have been the narrators voice but that didn’t help matters, I like the characters Ivy and Tink and all the descriptions of New Orleans, I kinda saw the twists coming but I also now want to know what happens next, I don’t know if it’s a book I’d keep listening to but it was quite enjoyable, kind of reminds me of the Sarah J Maas Crescent City books.

Brilliant! Totally addictive reading.
Ivy's part of an elite group of fighters keeping humans safe from the other worldly fay. Ren is a new solider in town joining her group who she's asked to show around. They get close but there's an awful twist at the end. Get ready to feel gripped.
