Summary

Have you always wanted to understand how to cast a spell? Have you ever asked yourself how to use plants or candles in a different way? Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Wiccan arts?

If the answer to these questions is YES, then keep reading....

Wicca is a practice for your life; it connects you with the magik of nature, the divine origins of the self and the soul, and it helps you ignite and manifest the life you have always wanted to live. There are so many variations of how to practice this magical way of life, and Wicca for Beginners is a great place to get started to teach yourself how you want to practice magik in your life.

The basics of Wicca are simple, easy, and fun and will help you get to know who you are on a deeper level, as well as give you the right focus and intentions for the life you want to live and create. Many people today practice Wicca, and so many “witches” are offering themselves a greater understanding of the powerful magik that lies in a simple spell, a common ritual, a daily practice, and a few simple tools to help you align with yourself and your purpose, as well as the greater energy of all things.

Creative expression is a part of the work of Wicca and as you learn, you will find yourself opening up to a whole new level of enjoying inventing and creating your own spells and rituals. This book is a guide to help you with that on your journey and to give you the basics of the principles, beliefs, and practices of Wicca.

Although it has become a more significant practice in Western culture in the past 70 years, Wicca is born from an ancient practice of asking the universe and the energies all around to help aid you and guide you on your path. A majority of Wiccan practices come from old world pagan rituals and spell work, not to mention a great knowledge and understanding of herbal remedies and elemental magik.

With this book, you can begin to ask these questions and delve more deeply into the magik of yourself. Take a look and find out who you are and what will lie on your road ahead when you set the intention and cast the circle of magik

In this book, you will find the following topics:

  • A history of Wicca
  • Beliefs, practices, and common rituals
  • Basics of what Wicca is all about
  • Herbal magik and how herbs, plants, flowers, and more play such an important role in Wicca
  • The seasons, holidays, and celebrations of the Wiccan Year
  • Step-by-step instructions to help you with basic rituals
  • Spells to get your started
  • The relationship to nature and the Gods/Goddesses
  • Working with the spirit world
  • And more!

Even if you never approached to this fantastic world, you will be able to start your own path by practicing alone just following the instructions inside this book!

Just gives you an outline

I read this book because I was curious about what the beliefs of Wicca were. This just gives you a basic understanding and not a deep one. It also didn't entice me to join a coven or become a Wiccan, so if anyone is worried about being brainwashed by reading this book, you don't have to worry. All in all it was a good read and informative.

Authoritative and Authentic

First, let me tell you my biases. I DON'T like books that refer to "online influences" and tell you how to manipulate them to spread your message. I also don't like books where the author writes condescendingly that every business needs to get on board because - oh my gosh! - customer are online and talking about you and the world has changed.

This is the One to Understand What's Happening

This is one of the few books out there that's fairly well packed with insight and common sense backed by real research. To be sure, there's some anecdotes filling up some pages, but unlike a lot of recent pundit press, there's way more ideas/facts/analysis then filler.

Wonderfully informative!

A wonderful foundation to get a good overview of Wicca; history, traditions, practice and good sound advice not just for those who would wish to practice! This is a great "get your feet wet" kind of introduction that enlightens without being a lecture. I would gladly recommend it to anyone who wishes to get an understanding of an oft missunderstood practice.

Editing Needs Revisiting

The book provides stimulus for those interested in the parameters of the unknown .
The worldly ways constantly bombard us with issues of its lower powers ....earthly experiences .
Books like these provide the push and pull to leave the eartly lures behind .
Even those following the path of spirituality need understand that subject matter like these may help to link them up to their objectives by providing related matter to awaken the fainting spirit .

Great book that delivered on its promises

While the information itself is very useful, the paperback book retains the e-book formatting. Some words are not capitalized, and there are mistakes such as using the wrong "too."
However, if none of that bothers you, then don't hesitate to buy this book! It's very informative and uses terms that are easy for the beginner to understand.

Great reference for beginners

What I liked most about this book was that the author presented a broad perspective without bias. This approach is excellent for those who are new to Wicca. I really like how he encourages self development of one's beliefs and path. He accurately describes the fact that interpretations of Wicca will vary widely and there is no right or wrong way, just whatever feels right to you that harms none.

Easy introductory read

Easy introductory read...gives you a very good starting point , and is encouraging but not overly opinionated or directional, allowing a person to develop their own thoughts-I liked that!! I will probably get other books from this author

Open minded presentation

This beginner's guide is honestly one of the most incredible things. I've been wanting to explore the path of Wicca for years now, but it wasn't until a few days ago where I got an epiphany to actually do it. I've been nonstop researching and reading, and this beginner's guide is everything I could have asked for and more. It's unbiased and presents basic, useful, and important information about Wicca and its components. Definitely gonna check out her other books!

Introduction to the magic of Wicca

Short, quick read but it was exactly what I was looking for. This book delivers what it promises which is a nice introduction for beginners interested in learning more about Wicca. If you're looking for in depth material, you will definitely need more. But for me, I enjoyed the book. I thought it was an easy read and quite well put together. Kudos to the author.

Great guide for beginners

I have always been fascinated by Wicca and religions that are based on older pagan beliefs. I have found that many of them address areas of spirituality that other religions do not. This is a great beginner's guide to Wicca, and will cover all of the basic beliefs, and much of the mythos. There are also a handful of spells that are suitable for the novice to practice with. If you are interested in learning to cast magic, then this book will help you get started.

Great Beginner Read!

I really appreciate the way this was written and the fact that it is available for free! I am just starting research into Wicca and this was a great brief overview of some key parts of Wiccan practices. It is by no means exhaustive, but I am glad I read it before anything else. Now I know I have a strong interest, but if I didn't I would not have felt like I wasted a long time. I like that it encourages the reader to seek out further information and contains so much supportive and welcoming language.

Just what I was looking for

I love to learn, & bought this book to help me better understand Wicca. The book is written in a manner that is easy to grasp, & can be read in its entirety in about an hour. However, I did find an error. The Cardinal direction for Water is listed as being West.... but on page 74 where it speaks of setting up an altar, it states that tools & symbols associated with water be placed to the East. This is a bit confusing, as it contradicts what was stated previously, & as a complete novice in learning about Wicca it threw me off a little.

Facts About Using Candles

I have repeatedly tried to understand the ideas of a world which includes magic as a reality.I look for proof that magic exist in our world, and the way I can use it to serve my purposes. This book is a good starting point to the belief structure of the Wiccan religion. You won't come away with a bunch of spells, but rather the reason for the existence of the spells and charms of Wiccan practitioner. An excellent introduction to the Wiccan Religion.

Proven Ways To Use Spells

Good book, definitely perfect for a beginner to gain a concept of where to go next. I like how she explains the major aspects briefly, giving a common base line of the common aspects that are practiced through Wicca, she gives some spells/rituals that I am excited to try, I was looking for a more intermediate book I guess, I know the basics but there is so much to learn I feel overwhelmed like I don't know enough to start my path, I must though if I knew most of what she was talking about.
