Summary

He was only supposed to deliver a pizza. And yes, I ordered sausage, but I never expected such a personal...touch.

I’m a good girl. I teach little kids, brake for squirrels, and always donate to cookie drives though I so don't need the extra 10 pounds. My sympathetic nature led to me sleeping with my ex after his granny’s funeral. The next day, he dumped me - again - via text, and I decided I needed a fresh start.

Luckily, I found a new apartment near my new school. Yay me. I also found myself unexpectedly naked with Dare, the smoking-hot single-dad mechanic who works next door. Dare did more than clean my spark plugs that night, let me tell you.

Then my worlds collide when Dare shows up at his son’s parent-teacher conference.

Next thing I know, surprise! Pregnant. Dare knows I’m worried about my job at the Catholic school and about how I’m going to handle the baby that might be his. Please, God, let it be his.

I just never expected Dare to propose marriage. And he wants me to become his wife in all ways. Especially the Biblical ones.

Author’s note: Who’s the Daddy is a romantic comedy with an HEA ending and no cliff-hanger.

Pizza Delivery!

When Taryn Elliot and Cari Quinn team up to write a series, I know I will be laughing, crying and falling in love with the most wonderful of heroes. This series has to be one of my favorites of their collaborations, and this book is the best of the series! Dare is a single dad, not looking for a relationship. When he delivers a pizza to Kelsey though, all bets are off. It's more than just sex, but no one is going to admit it. These two are great characters. First off, there is nothing more appealing than a loving, single dad. Dare's interaction with his son Wes is loving and protective, impossible not to fall for the man. Kelsey falls for the man and when they realize she is pregnant, life takes on a new twist! This story is filled with Kelsey's inner turmoil and quirkiness, Dare's alpha male over protectiveness and the innocence of a story stealing child, Wes. It is fun, romantic and full of surprises. With crossover characters from the previous two books, we have a feeling of familiarity and comfort, loving every minute of the fun relationships we as listeners already have and keep the emotions growing strong.

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are such perfect narrators for this series. Kai just gets these women, and her portrayal of Kelsey is spot-on. You can feel her inner ramblings of insecurity and at the same time the growing love she feels for Dare and Wes. Wen is perfect with his chuckle and growl as Dare, making you feel the warmth and possessiveness he has. Love this team and couldn't ask for more!

Fun and Quirky Single Dad Romance

This was an entertaining single dad romance. I haven't read/listened to the previous 2 books, but got up to speed pretty quickly. It's book 3 in the series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone (though I think it would be best to read the other books since characters from the previous books appear and that's where our H and h meet.)

Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross were wonderful as always as Dare and Kelsey. Their duet narration really brought this story to life. Kai was perfect as the sweet and quirky Kelsey, while Wen was amazing as the no nonsense alpha Dare. I loved their chemistry though will admit that some of the story felt repetitive, especially the epilogue. I didn't quite understand the urgency and intensity that Dare approached most situations with. Kelsey and her girlfriends brought some great comic relief though and overall this was a fun listen. The ending set the stage for the next book and it's clear that there is something in the water in Crescent Cove.

He's the Daddy!

Book 3 in the Crescent Cove/Dirty DILFs series did not disappoint! There are no words to describe my excitement that Kelsey was a planner girl! Be still my planner loving heart! And that Sage got her into pretty planning? How did I not know this about Sage?!??! Look at me talking about them like they're real people. That's how good this series is! Back to Kelsey... she's new in town and a teacher at the local Catholic school. She just broke up with her boyfriend. Enter Dare...he's delivering pizza for his parents' pizza place. Hello instant attraction! A roll in the sack and then a few days later, he shows up at school for parent night. For his son. Who is in her class. Awkward much? Fast forward a few weeks and Kelsey isn't feeling great. A few positive pregnancy tests later and Kelsey is wondering, "Who's the daddy?" Dare and accidental pregnancy part 2. Seriously, is there something in the Crescent Cove water?

Taryn Quinn's words mixed with Kai and Wen's narrations really brings these stories to life. I feel like the characters are real people when I listen. I laugh out loud. I groan out loud. I probably look like an idiot when I'm driving and listening. I find myself sitting in the car just a few more minutes to listen.

Kelsey💘Dare! Fabulous Story & Narration🎧

Taryn Quinn pens another great story set in the wonderful Crescent Cove, a town with a bunch of great folks and interesting characters. This 3rd book is Kelsey and Dare’s story and what a story it is. Kelsey lands a teaching job at the Catholic School, she lucked out finding an apartment in town and moved right in. Unpacking her boxes she orders a pizza and comes delivered with some extra sausage. LOL! Dare was delivering pizza for his Dad’s shop, his last delivery was to Kelsey’s apartment. There was an instant attraction between them, one thing lead to another and Kelsey really enjoyed Dare’s sausage. I loved these two together, it was like they were made for each other. Dare, a single Dad normally does not have affairs like this but he could not help himself, there was just something about her. They do not share much info about each other, just the hot loving and passion between them. So it was a surprise when Kelsey finds out his son, Wes, is one of her students. I loved how Dare was with his son, also liked how Kelsey was with him as well. I thought it was great how Dare reacted with Kelsey and all those pregnancy tests, gun ho, then when Kelsey ran her mouth she knocked him off kilter. OMG, her ex was a douche. LOL! As with all the stories in this series, it is well written and well plotted, there is never a dull moment, there are some great laugh out loud moments, some drama, angst and plenty of other emotions all leading to a hot and sweet romance. Thank you Taryn Quinn for another great story.

I listened to the Audible edition, Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross are fantastic narrators and voice performers. They continue to bring these characters and their stories to life, giving each their own voice and personality and a whole lot of heart. I loved Kai’s portrayal of Kelsey, sweet and quirky and Wen’s take on Dare, alpha and always to the point. They were awesome with the secondary characters as well. It is always a pleasure to listen to these two talented storytellers. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Love the narrations of the voice actors!

While I love hearing the books read aloud I've always preferred when the voice actors interact with each other throughout the narration 😄 It makes the story come alive more & makes it way more fun to listen to, imho.
These two do an excellent job of that! While I enjoyed the plot & whatnot of the story (which is rare since I prefer action stuff) the way the pair did the narration together made it all the more enjoyable. Wish more books were read aloud in this format.

My Thoughts on Who's the Daddy

Once again I am so happy to have found Taryn Quinn and their amazing Cresent Cove series. This town is filled with amazing women and men that have hilarious and heartwarming roads to their HEA.

This time I got school teacher Kelsey and mechanic Dare's story. Dare is a single dad and it just so happens the woman he's hooked up with a few times and can't get out of his mind is also his son's teacher. And pregnant.

I loved the rapid yet passionate relationship these two had. I loved how sweet and quirky Kelsey was. It was the perfect pairing with Dare's rough and growly personality. Throw in Dare's adorable little boy Wes and this was just a swoon worthy tale.

The writing was not only fantastic with a great pace and perfectly placed twists and turns, but the narration was top notch. I love Wen and Kai and they are the kind of narrators that could make you auto buy whatever they perform. This story was a prime example of how great they are.

I highly recommend this one and cannot wait for more in this series, more from this author duo, and more from these narrators.

Cute, fun story of teacher and single dad

This is a cute story...1st grade teacher, Kelsey, moves to Crescent Cove after a humiliating breakup. On the day/night of her move, she hooks up with the pizza delivery man...he’s also a friend of her besties husbands. Oh, and he’s also the dad of one of her students! What can go wrong?
You’re just going to have to read/listen to find out!
