About this listen

Born and raised in San Francisco Author John Kiramis is a retired police lieutenant and detective sergeant who served for 31 years and upon retirement went on to became Mayor of Foster City, California, a community within the realm of the Silicon Valley. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Kate and their cats Chalmers and Anthony.

John was born, raised, and educated in San Francisco up until he graduated from the Jesuit University of San Francisco with a degree in rhetoric and sociology. His fondest memories in early life are his jobs collecting pop bottles for redemption, caddying at the Olympic Club, and delivering pizza for Toto’s, liquor for the Bourbon Bank and used TV’s for Singer Electric on the corner of Haight and Ashbury. He believes writing is a conceived prose narrative of dimension and complexity that deals imaginatively within the scope of human experience by a connective sequence of events involving a group of persons in a specific setting.
