Summary

Marco Polo was 17 when he set out for China...and 41 when he came back! More than 700 years ago, Marco Polo traveled from the medieval city of Venice to the fabled kingdom of the great Kublai Khan, seeing new sights and riches that no Westerner had ever before witnessed. But did Marco Polo experience the things he wrote about...or was it all made-up?

i knew so little about Marco Polo. Seeing the film, I was wondering what is true from the film' story.

Favorite nonfiction series for kids

My younger son and I loved listening to this book. Both my sons loved this series: nonfiction, but very lively and fast moving. This one featured a good narrator and one of the more interesting figures in world history. We listen before bedtime where the short length is helpful, but this would be good for a car trip too. Highly recommended!

Good intro

This is a good quick intro to the life of Marco Polo. It leaves a lot of detail out but makes the listener want to investigate more about the man's life.
