Welcome to beautiful, tiny Whispering Key, Florida, where you’ll find plenty of sunshine, loads of quirky residents, a whole lot of snarky banter, a boatload of true love… and possibly even a missing treasure.
In this collection are:
Off Plan
Falling for a man wasn’t in Mason Bloom’s five-step life plan. He was supposed to be a concierge doctor at a swanky resort. Instead he becomes the reluctant resident of a ridiculous small town awash in legends of shipwrecks… and gorgeous, provoking Fenn Reardon might just be the treasure he didn't know he was looking for.
On the Run
When snarky self-help guru Toby arrives on the Key looking for a place to hide out, he isn’t expecting to find Beale Goodman, the world’s largest, hottest, most virginal cinnamon roll, waiting in his bed, or for the two to become fake (or-not-so-fake) soulmates… and he definitely didn’t expect Whispering Key to become a place he wants to run to instead of from.
Off Key
Jay Rollins is a rock star with a secret: once upon a time he was in love with his childhood best friend… a man who ended up marrying (and divorcing) his sister. But when he and Rafe Goodman are thrown together again on a zany cross-country road trip, they find that some love songs deserve a second verse.
Seriye devam et
The characteristics of a small town are quite universal, I believe, because the quirks felt familiar even though I've never been to Florida or the USA.
Especially book 2 made me cringe, cackle, and also cry actual tears, which I did not expect. I also was not expecting to love the exasperating and snarky Toby most of all of the main characters. For whatever reason his slow opening up to own his truth and his fate really hit me hard, regardless of how caricature-like I felt his character to be portrayed as at first.
Great value for 1 credit - the 2nd book made me cry, too!
